Hi

On our last full day we experienced protestors outside Disneyland Park. There were many people who formed a line and blew whistles whilst having signs and t-shirts made up all we could make out was it mentioned Disneyland. Does this happen alot? I thought it was a little odd and it appeared to scare a few children as they did not understand what was going on. It was so strange. :confused3

It may be Cast members, I have heard of them protesting before, they do protest as they work long hours, have poor pay and little benefits, , Some CM at DLP have low moral which maybe a reason why people complain of rudeness from them.

France has a strong union tradition which is why CM's are protesting.
Hopefully the management will find a resolution :)

from what i can see on another website its the photographers who are striking

Hi

Bruce said he thought it was photographers. Bruce was worried about our children as alot of children were scared, because they formed a solid line in front of the entrance he did not want the kids involved, but when we approached a man pleasantly smiled and moved out of our way. Before it was intimidating but once through the line is was plain to see it was a peaceful protest, but I did not think that it was appropriate for kids to see at such a magical place.

I have never seen this before so I was a little surprised. It is bad that they work these long hours and dont get paid for it.

We saw them outside too, and they also marched ahead of the Princess parade and the Studios parade on a couple of days blowing whistles. It seemed a very strange sight to see at Disney but it was just peaceful demonstrations without any problems that I could see.

En Greve! It's a fine French tradition. Every single time I've been to France, I've seen at least 2 strikes going on.

There were protestors one day when I went last Dec'. CM's complaining about pay/hours/benefits etc. I wonder if Disney researched the French love affair with striking before planning on having a park there!

We encountered labor strikes many times in France. If public transportation is affected, it is announced days in advance.
