Hi All,

Looking for some advice....We are traveling to WDW the first week of May. We will be two families (4 adults, 4 kids, 2 babies). Just wondering if we would be better off going to ETWB right after rope drop or using one of our FP+ options for it(for later in the day). :confused3 We have never done ETWB and the family we are traveling with will be WDW first timers. Thanks for your help!

It would depend on what other rides you want to ride and the priority that you set to those ride.

If you have a Belle lover, then I would do it at rope drop, as to not hear the "When will we see Belle" conversation from happening all day long.

We prefer to use our FP+s later in the day and hit the "long wait lines" at rope drop.

I was kind of thinking we would head directly to FL at rope drop and get as much done there as possible without using FP+. I just wasn't sure if lines for ETWB would be significant even first thing in the morning?

On a crowd level 4-5 day, about 30 minutes after park open I saw people already lined up outside and the sign said 30 minute wait. So if you want to go first thing, I'd think it really needs to be first.

We stayed offsite and I went to get FP's about that same time (30-45 min after park opening) and was told there was nothing for ETWB.

We ended up going about 30 minutes before the park closed and had no wait. But with babies you probably don't want to go that late.

I would FP it later in the day and spend RD time doing other attractions that get busy but don't eat up so much of the low crowd early morning time.

I'd wait to get in line 15 minutes before park closing for the shortest wait possible.

agree - ETwB requires you to "move it" back there to get into the first or 2nd show - then the experience itself takes about 20 minutes that's a lot of time at RD.

With multiple families (especially first timers) you don't want to have to rush that much IMO. Do go back to FL first and ride / experience what you want to and schedule ETwB as a FP later on.

I would either use FP+ or ride it late in the day when crowds might be lower. The problem with going there first after rope drop is that the ride will still take take up a good deal of valuable time. You could easily ride 3-4 other rides in FL in the same amount of time,

While the line for ETWB won't be crazy if it is your first ride of the day, ETWB is longer than the other rides in FL. If your goal is maximize your morning time and still ride ETWB, I would save it for later in the day with a FP+ reservation.

I would use a FP -- it's a very popular attraction but the wait time varies considerably, and apparently randomly. We were at MK four times in the past two weeks and there didn't seem to be any clear pattern for wait times for that one (unless it's because of the number of people using FPs)

2 rides I recommend using a FP for in FL are ETW/B & PP! At RD you can pretty much do the rest of FL in that 1st hour

I think you have a good idea with riding as much as you can in FL at RD and then FP+ ETWB later. If you are not going to FP+ PP later, I would go there first. You should pretty much walk on.
