I have two girls. They will be 7 and 9 on our next trip and they love characters and love rides. As of now - I will FP Anna/Elsa but the girls are already questioning if they want to spend time on them. I haven't been since ETWB opened and thought it was a must do. Now I am wondering if they are too old? Does everyone who wants to participate get to? Or are only so many chosen? Wondering if it is more for littler girls? What is the time commitment? I want them to get to ride the things they enjoy - but some of the best parts of Disney are the many magical interactions and experiences you just can't get elsewhere. And this will be our first FP+ trip so I'm nervous about standby lines for favorites we wouldn't normally FP at all. Should I skip the FP+ for this and then do it if standby lines allow for it. Can you tell I'm stressing about having to select attractions in advance...

Defiantly a must do for everyone! To have the most time with Bell they need to practice their "roar" to get the part of the Beast.

My girls (12 & 15) went to it on our trip earlier this month. They pick people for specific parts (including adults) and then anyone else who wants in can be enchanted dishware. I nudged my DD12 but she didn't go. All of the other children who participated were very young- maybe under 6. So she would have felt out of place, but it was still enjoyable to watch and our little Beast was fantastic. The special effects were neat to see too.

I didn't want to use a FP on it, so we just kept an eye on the App now and then. When we were getting done with lunch at Pinocchio's we saw 20 minutes so we headed over. DD12 was wanting to see the portrait of Belle and her mother in the cottage.

Last year DD was 7 1/2. We went to ETWB every MK day we had planned. She was Mrs. Potts 2x & our last MK night she was picked to be the Beast.

There was a Photopass Photographer who took pictures & we were given a Photopass card as we left the room. (Not sure if this still happens)

Yes, everyone who would like a part gets a part. I would suggest experiencing it at least once.

(Our first MK night we went during Wishes as DD gets dizzy watching the fireworks. We only had a 15-20 minute wait.)

Happy Planning!!

Thanks all - we will do this. Sounds so fun. Still may not use a FP but will check it out

Either during the first hour at rope drop or in the evening is a good time. One night me and my sister went with DD23 and DD24 around 8:00 and there was no line. I agree just keep an eye on the wait times. BTW I think it is a must at least one time for everyone just for the magical mirror!

Very fun for my DS9 and DD7 - both were feeling too self conscientious to be in the show, but their Dad was a knight which made them hysterical :) and they liked the cool effects. After DD7 got to have a photo with Belle despite not participating in the show. She is more introverted and was glad we at least got the pic even though princesses are not her thing anymore :sad1: sadly!

Enjoy!

My DD will be 7 in less than 2 months. We were there Memorial Day week. She got chosen to be beast and she loved it!

Yes definitely go! I knew what it was but didn't share with anyone else on our Easter trip last year. When we went in the room my then 7 year old did the best beast growl ever but didn't realize he was auditioning. :) they picked him and he had the best time until Belle kissed him. We all starting awwwwwwwing so he got super embarrassed but kept his composure. I loved every minute of it!

Omg I love this :goodvibes What an amazing memory to have!!! I hope you got some pictures!

I'm 19 and got the part of the wardrobe by belting it out lol only after making sure no one else was going to try though. I didn't want to take a spot from a younger person. I was the oldest to be a part of the show but I'd say there were a couple 11 and 12 year olds acting too.

I went during MNSSHP. After of course, letting the littles get all the good parts, we happily took what was left! I was a feather duster and DH was a knight. It was hilarious. I think it's fun for all ages.
