ET's Pre trip and Trip report. TR pg 6 #87. New 10/14 THE END on pg 19 #271

I am adding this picture of Snow White because the other pics make her mouth look funny. She says, "Mom, I look like my mouth is all crooked." I keep telling her it's the way she holds her mouth when people photograph her. :)
She makes a stiff smile because she doesn't think she is pretty when she smiles. :sad2:

And here is my picture with Eeyore. Of course it had to be one of the ones that didn't process well. The pictures on this whole roll of film were not great. But that happens.
As Eeyore says, "It's not much, but it's mine."

Okay here's a picture with Eeyore. And wouldn't you know I left my tiara in the hotel room. :teeth:

Please tell Snow White that total strangers thinks she is adorable and of course looks beautiful when she smiles!

We are also eating with Pooh but doing dinner instead. I am very excited about it and I kind of hope my kids like it too!

Momplanner22, thank you. :goodvibes I think she is, but sometimes she needs to hear it from someone other than her mom. So thank you very much. :)

We haven't done the dinner just the breakfast. I think Glendamax has though, so you might check with her trip report. :)

The backside pic of you was a nice touch, but I am glad we got to see the front of you to!! :thumbsup2

We have adrs for CP in Jan. for breakfast - was the food good?

Hey ET! Glad you guys made it for breakfast! I can't stand staring at my watch before an ADR!

S.Poppins - I ate there last year for breakfast and it was good. But I guess it is best to hear from ET in case something has changed since then (hopefully not).

The breakfast was actually quite good. There were eggs, potatoes, breakfast casseroles, fruit, pancakes, corned beef hash, and more. And on the kids there were waffles with Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet, a pizza topped with eggs and cheese, and some other things. They had bagels and bread, whip cream, syrup, cream cheese and I almost forgot, they have an omelet chef. :thumbsup2 See the picture of the omelet chef on the last page of my report. He's the guy smiling that my daughter took a picture of. So there should be something for you to choose from. I would say though, try just a little of the corned beef hash until you decide if you like it. It was strong! The waiter brings you orange juice, tea, coffee, or milk, chocolate or white, and just keeps refilling them. We had a great time. :goodvibes And it kept us full until dinner time. We had an early dinner planned and we didn't have to snack before dinner. :teeth: I would do it again.

We did make it for breakfast. I felt sorry for the people behind us though!

Hey what's this about a guy in your signature?????? Anything we should know about? :teeth: Did you spot the future Mr. Glendamax? Oooh, I hope so. Does he Disney? :goodvibes

Your children are so cute!

Thank you Lan, I will pass that on to them. :goodvibes I appreciate your taking time to read my trip report. :) Glendamax has me beat with all those awesome photos. :thumbsup2

Day 3 continued

Our husbands left the breakfast before us so they could go to the front of the park and rent a ECV and a wheelchair. We offered to rent two ECV’s but our friends didn’t want us to. Yes, we are those people. :teeth: The ones that actually rent an ECV! :thumbsup2

My husband needed one because his ankles had started swelling from walking the day before. My dh is the proud owner of a pacemaker/defibrillator due to congestive heart failure at a very young age. But don’t you dare tell him he is disabled in anyway. He wouldn’t have rented the ECV if he hadn’t realized he wasn’t going to last the rest of the trip without one. And of course the wheelchair was for my friend so that she could rest instead of walking and hopefully not risk any more seizures. Man you should have seen the looks from people when she would get out of her chair to step onto a ride. It wasn’t very nice. Some people make the assumption you’re not handicapped if it can’t be seen. But we love them all anyway! :teeth:

The guys arrived back with the ECV and the wheelchair and we headed off to POC. We came to the jungle cruise first and thoroughly enjoyed the guys dialogue. We thought of Umama the whole time! Then we rode Aladdin’s carpets, which I rode with my 3 year old who has no fear. She had it stuck at the top the whole time and said she’s going to be a pilot like her daddy when she grows up. Great. I hate heights. I’m a big fat chicken. So I just hold on tight to her and close my eyes when it gets scary and say, “Are you sure you don’t want to take mommy down a little lower so she doesn’t get sick?” She laughs at me and drops the carpet and then takes it all the way back up, just making my stomach worse. Yeah, what a cute kid.

After Aladdin we were finally off to the POC. We got to see a show with Jack Sparrow out in front of the ride. Man that guy looks A LOT like Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow. I thought I got a picture, but evidently it’s one of my all black pictures that didn’t turn out. Bummer.

Here. I'm claiming this picture as one of Jack Sparrow! Just close your eyes and imagine it. Hmmmm, nice.
a.jpg

You wouldn’t have believed the likeness. Even better than the Jack character inside the ride. And the character inside is REALLY good. We decided to proceed to the other side of the park after this victory of riding most of the things we had wanted to ride. We proceeded back past It’s a Small World and on to Ariel’s grotto to get pictures with the mermaid. My middle daughter, Belle, had been so disappointed that she didn’t have the nerve to touch the mermaids tail when we were there the last time and she was 3 years old. So she had decided that on this trip she was going to touch the tail. Which if I get the Disney photopass pics back, you will see that she did. Our friends had gone on to ride something else while we were getting photos, so we let the girls stay around Ariel’s cave for a little while. BIG mistake. We had planned to take them to Toontown for pictures and they got soaking wet. So all the pictures we had at toontown look like they were caught in a rain storm. Belle’s skirt and top went transparent after it got wet and their hair got messed up. Doesn’t it always seem to work out that way? But Goofy didn’t seem to care, he had a blast just messing it up even more and then falling down on the floor in front of them. He was an awesome CM! We had met up with our friends at this time and they did different lines and so we had fun going from line to line to get pics. Then off we went back to the hotel to try and rest and change for an early dinner at 1900 Park Fare. We had a Night of Joy ahead of us!

By the time I got the girls dry and Snow White into her costume, it was time for dinner with Cinderella and Prince Charming. My oldest daughter Snow White, was so funny. When Prince Charming came out, she looked at him and said, “Hey, he’s not a bad looking Prince. Maybe I should steal him away from Cinderella.” Oh boy did we have fun with that one. You will see a picture of Prince Charming after he has been informed that Snow White is out to take him away from Cinderella. It was funny.

Snow White is pointing at me because I have just broken the news to Prince Charming that Snow White is after him. And Cinderella better watch out!

She brought him to his knees!

He takes time to get to know her sisters!

Playing it cool when Cinderella shows up!

Fairy Godmother wasn’t too happy to find out that Snow White had designs on Prince Charming either.

Fairy Godmother warns Snow White to watch out. That she shouldn't take Cinderella's Prince. Snow White asks where she can get her own Fairy Godmother!

Here she is with Perla. She is still looking for the Prince across the room!

Here's Suzy trying to get the littlest one to sleep. She was rocking her and her eyes were closed until she saw the camera come out!

The CM’s played it to the hilt. It was a hoot! The buffet at 1900 Park Fare was a little bit odd the night we were there. It had foods from different countries, but nothing that seemed to tie together. Chinese Egg Rolls, CousCous, Shrimp Pasta, Roast Beef, and Strawberry Soup. It left me kind of confused. The kids had mac/cheese and chicken strips so they were happy. The strawberry soup was good, it was like pureed strawberries with cream. After a lot of pictures my daughter received a birthday crown and a placemat with all their signatures on it. It was a magical moment.

Night of Joy?
The music was great. My daughter really wanted to see Barlow Girls since they are one of her favorite groups. They divide the singers up all over the park so that you can choose which ones you want to listen to and you can ride rides also. I hate to even mention this next part, but for anyone that might want to attend please understand ahead of time what can happen. The one main thing that I saw that I really wasn’t too happy with and won’t make me excited to attend again was the unsupervised teen crowd. Evidently from what I saw, a lot of youth groups got together to attend this event. And frankly when the parents aren’t present the kids act up. There were a lot of unsupervised children who dropped trash wherever they were standing when a garbage can was 5 foot away. The CM on the teacups had to stop and pick up quite a few water bottles from the floor before he could start the ride. I didn’t see that happening during regular park hours. Several teens cut in line in front of us, and more than one group used very foul language which left me with several questions from my own kids about them being Christians. I did my best to use this as an example of people trying to fit into the world while claiming to be Christians. And I explained that this is the number one reason it is so hard to convince non Christians to become Christians when they can’t see the difference in the attitude of character of those that say they are. It made us all very sad.

Most of the older teens and young adults that actually watched the concerts were quite nice and polite.
c.jpg

These kids smiled and said thank you when my kids shared glow sticks and bracelets with them. They were very kind.
b.jpg

Everyone is starting to get really tired!
d.jpg

My daughter loved the Barlow girls and sang along with all their songs, so she was happy with the concert. The bright spot of the evening was my daughter trying to give random acts of kindness to those attending. She handed out glow bracelets and fanny packs to the little kids she saw. She also handed out halos and hair braids that glowed. The hair braids were the biggest hit and I was kind of surprised. But if we do it again, I’ll get her more hair braids to give out. People even stopped her on the monorail and at the resort to ask about her hair braids. She had a blast and only one family was not very nice to her. I think they thought she was trying to sell them something. I guess we will never know. She left a lot of people smiling that night!
We left late and each received a Night of Joy cd which my daughter was very happy with. I learned after we returned to the hotel that if you left earlier, you didn’t get a cd. So since we had received two we shared one with our friends because they had left too early to get one. It was late when we finally landed in bed. But, I had a HOT shower. Oh blissful, heavenly, wonderful. Off to dreams of Mickey and Minnie dancing in my head.

ET - Your daughter is thoughtful and beautiful from the inside out. You should be so proud. :sunny: You can't worry about the ignorance of others. You are doing the right thing teaching your kids to be kind individuals. I'm sure Snow White made a lot of children happy that night, and that is what counts.

No,she didn't (I'll answer for ya Glenda :goodvibes )
But we're looking.
My list of his qualifications is a long one. BUT it will happen!
Glenda Max is a great catch and she's not gonna settle for just anything! The good ones seem to be taken and the tall, good looking one's "play" for the other team! ;) EEEk!

There, now I'll read your new instalment. I'm having a creativity break because my TR's Ch 8 is on a Word Document waiting for me to post it. So, after Parent Teacher Conferences, I'll post. So there!

Ok, I read!

Snow White! Again, I am more and more in love with her blessing everyone she comes in contact with!
I share your sadness with the "world". Not WDW, but the world we're raising our kids in!
I hope that even the naughty "Christian" teens are being taught a good foundation in their homes and in their places of worship. They were probably just showing off, being with their friends and mostly un-supervised.

Way to cameo me on the Jungle Cruise! OH! How I love that ride! Because I think it was back in California in the Land with my own famiy growing up. My mom didnt like the faster rides back in the day (I've changed that!) so we did the "Classics"!

See you later tonght in my Ch 8!

Tootles!

Thank you for your response. :goodvibes I appreciate your comments and hope that I can teach my kids the right way to behave towards others. I always tell them it only takes one person to change the world and how do they know that they aren't the one person to do it? :) Oh goodness, I hope I don't sound pious or lofty. I just think all kids deserve the chance to know how special they are and that the future is in their hands! It's been a long road getting my kids to believe in themselves again and to raise their self esteem up. That's why random acts of kindness are a great way for them to see the surprise and thankfulness in the eyes of others. It just seems to make their possiblities expand. :)

Hey its about time with that next installment. I was biting off all my fingernails waiting and you havent even done a park yet!

Thank you for the Snow White comment, I'm letting her read these comments
and she has asked why these people are saying nice things about her. :goodvibes I told her because they see how special she is! Do you know she helped me with that riddle yesterday? It had me bumfuzzled until she made me sound it out to her! :lmao:

Yes, I really don't think the kids wouldn't have been so bad if they weren't trying to show off for their friends. Some of the ones that cut in line acted like they really didn't want to do it, but their friends pressured them. :sad2: It's hard to be a kid that age.

We loved the jungle cruise and the elephant scared all the kids with the water! It was great!

If I see a good guy for Glenda, I'll lasso and hog tie him tell she can come pick him up! :rotfl: But he's got to like Disney!
