While I'm guessing Disney frowns on the practice... have you ever heard of someone having their ashes spread in WDW? If you could, where would you have your ashes spread?

It sounds a little morbid, but I get your question, very interesting idea. When mom passed last year  we discussed where to spread her ashes and my sister suggested EPCOT because mom loved it there, but we were all like "eewww no" it just seemed wrong somehow. We are waiting and will spread the ashes somewhere special when dad passes away so they can be "together" but it won't be Disney!

I read another thread much like this one. Disney does not allow this but people do do it. Personally i can not decide which i want when i die but the thought of my husband or kids bringing my ashes to disney tips the scales a little.

That way my kids would go to disney to visit me where i was happiest! :goodvibes

I would like a little bit of me sprinkled in in each park and a little bit sprinkled off of a balcony at AKL :thumbsup2

I asked him to put a little bit of me in a rice paper (so it would melt) bag with a weight and drop me in Bay Lake while he's out on a Motor Mouse ride. I wouldn't want to be scattered all over wdw but a little piece in the lake would be nice.

About 5 or 6 years ago, my coworker and her sisters put part of their dad's ashes in the water of 'Small World'; apparently that was his favorite ride and whenever he was in Florida on business, he would buy a one day ticket to MK and only ride Small World and then leave. True story! :)

I told my kids I wanted to be cremated, then some of my ashes made into one of those bricks around the Magic Kingdom, the rest of the ashes in a brick at the start/finish line at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

OK, I'll play... ;)

Off the train on BTMRR. Off the coaster in Space Mt. Off the log on Splash Mt.

All from the first seat on a busy day.

:crazy2:

Kidding...At Disney? In the coffee cup of the guy who decided to use "Nescafe" in all the hotels. But for real, my kids are going to have some fun.

Tanta saudade... :sad1:

There was a poster on RADP who had his ashes scattered off the bridge in EPCOT at the World Showcase near France. I always say hi to him when I walk over His bridge.

Yes, I want to be and I'd like to end up in the lake at World Showcase too. EPCOT is my favorite park and I'd like to be a part of it.

I want my ashes spread around the parks somewhere. Haven't decided exactly where though. Hopefully I have lots of time to decide.

Like DMLush, I want a little of me all around the parks. I can't think of a better place for my ashes to end up--my most favorite part of living on earth!

I think a little part of me in Bay Lake might be nice. DH also suggested Castaway Cay and I can't believe I didn't think of that. A little bit of me in two of my favorite places sounds about right. :)

I loved this one.. it touched my heart. It is such a beautiful statute....

Hmmmm, where would I want to be......well my fave is World Showcase and I love walking over the bridge into France so maybe my kids can just put me in their pocket with a hole cut in the bag, leaving a little of me everywhere in WS and maybe enjoy drinking around the world in tribute to their Mom..

I admit I have told me kids to sprinkle me by the beach by the Poly so I can spend my time in the great beyond hearing the monorail go by and watching the fireworks over the castle.

I hope Disney is not reading this, you just know they will come up with "something" to charge to be able to do this,. You know in addition to a park hopper or annual pass there wil l be the eternity pass :rotfl2: I will probably be the first one to buy one :lmao:

I thought about it but decided I didn't want tourists from everywhere walking on me and then getting swept up by one of monster vacs didn't appeal either.

I have my eye on some quiet mountains now. ;)

I have told my kids that I want a part of me sprinkled in the mote around the castle in the MK. They think I am crazy but know I am serious ;)

They also think that someone should really come up with a Nursing Home themed Disney for all of us that are getting on in age ... I know it has been brougth up on these boards before.. It really isn't a bad idea either :goodvibes

I second the Haunted Mansion. Whenever I ride the for the first time a trip, I think, if I was cremated, this is where I would want to be. After all, they don't dust the dust..

There have been a few threads like this before. I actually already have this written into my "Special Instructions" for my passing.

I want everyone (or who ever wants to) to take a trip to Disney when they can get together. Put my ashes in DH's backpack & take me on all the rides -- including those I was physically unable to do & those I was afraid to do. Then, to find a discrete location on Bay Lake (possibly by Water Mouse) & scatter my ashes.

I do have alternate plans written up on where to scatter me elsewhere if unable to scatter at Disney, but I still want to go on all the rides first. :teeth:
