Hi
Wonder if anyone answer q query re ESTA. We are lucky enough to be going back to PORR later this year we were there last yearI know and got ESTA's no problem. I know that they last a few years but do you need to update them or anything we are staying at the same place :confused3

They last 2 years and, as far as I'm aware, you don't have to update them but you can if you wish.

What I would recommend is that you actually reapply for your ESTA, though, as I have recently read that they are going to start charging for them from September. Therefore, if you reapply now (or before Sep) you will have valid ESTAs for another two years.

Thats good advice.
We have travelled twice on the same ESTA but are planning on reapplying for ours before the charge - even though we have no definate dates for our next holiday yet.

The dates are one of the things that can be amended anyway, so you can just apply and add dates later. :) (I know you know this, but for the benefit of anyone else wondering the same thing).

Sorry to jump in on your thread Chuds, but I also have a quick question about ESTAs and thought it may be best to ask it here rather than creating a new thread...

I was just wondering if it's worth applying for an ESTA just for the hell of it. I hope to go to Orlando next year, but nothing will be confirmed for a while yet. Do you recommend I apply for one before they start charging? Even though i don't have flight numbers and accommodation info? Because I remember filling that in last year.

Just curious :) TIA!

Sorry, just read the above posts - they sort of answer my question!

Jumping in without reading fully again - oops!

She must have the same programming as me! I just explained at 1 pm yesterday at the office when trying to stifle a monster yawn that I was about 12 hours away from my optimal perfomance zone. :rotfl:

I am hoping to do my ESTAs at work in my lunch hour today as my printer at home is shot. I know you dont have to print, but I like to have the page with me.

I like mine printed too - I know it is just for my own piece of mind though. Even still weeks out I will occassionally go and check my travel wallet to make sure everything is in there :lmao: Just like that Boots ad!

Good to get them done and the sticky thread was super duper useful!

I think from what I have read in threads in the past most people, myself included, on here print there ESTAs off even though there is no need to.
Our 'Florida Folder' has ours in - along with photocopies of everything we take with us (tickets, passports, driving licenses etc)

Haha! I'm definitely in night mode at the moment. Just moved into a new house, and we have been up until the wee hours for the past couple of nights unpacking.

Yawn:thumbsup2

We have valid esta's from last trip in December.

But our passports expire in January and March 2011.

I assume if we renew passports then we'll need to re do esta as the passport numbers will be different?

I thought we definitely had to renew the passports but have seen that Virgin and Us immigration don't insist on the 6 months remaining when you fly.

Think we probaly will renew passports before we fly though just to be on safe side.

Your passport numbers stay the same anyway so not a problem :)

You can amend the details on an ESTA, however, from what I can gather now the green form doesn't need to be filled in, it doesn't really matter if the place you are staying has changed.

Thanks hun, changing from Pop to Por and didn't want to get on wrong side of the marshalls:scared1::rotfl:
