ESTA - a bit odd!!!

Just entered all our info onto ESTA whilst I had a quiet moment at work

DH, DD2 (age 3) and I have all been approved but DD1 (age 5) is pending authorisation

Anyone else had an 'odd' outcome with ESTA?? Perhaps DD1 has a secret 'criminal' life I know nothing of?? Anyway, not too worried as plenty of time to sort it out and we could always go without her

I have seen others on here that have had there application pending approval - a few hours later everything comes through fine.
It might just be to do with volume of traffic on the system, similar name to someone else - anything really I suppose.
Ours went through OK for the four of us - but we did it in what was probably a quiet time i.e. early morning.

i think they must put a hold on every 100th (or however many) application and do extra manual checks on them?

When I entered the info for myself dd & ds were were pending but my DH got approved straight away. I wnet back and checked the rest after 30 mins and it was fine

I've just this second done ours and same thing has just happened to me. DH and kids all went straight through mine went pending. I checked about 15 minutes later and it's fine now. How bizarre

I don't know if this is right but I read that they do random manual checks so it might be that that's holding it up.

Glad everyone's has gone through ok.
