ESPN the Weekend 5K Reg Now Open!

Registration just opened today. Disney's email stated save $10 on reg before 1/13/11. Sounded good until I looked and saw pre reg for 5K is $45!!! After 1/31 it goes up to $55 for a 5K I would NEVER pay fees for a 5K that I could run many Half Marathons for.

Is it just me or is the mouse crazy

Given how much the Princess Half costs (120-140 depending on time of registration), that 5K price doesn't surprise me.

Doesn't surprise me but that's why the Jan Half, Full, and Goofy aren't filled with just over 30 days before the races. The Goofy and Half use to fill in Feb and March(respectively) before price gouging began at the House of Mouse!
