Okay, so DH has his heart set on watching the Bears game at ESPN club. It is on a Sunday and the game is at 1pm. Are there any ESPN veterans out there who can tell me what time I need to be there to get a table in time for the game? There will be 4 of us. And no, they aren't playing a Florida team. They are playing Detroit that day. Only one Florida team has a game that same time.

They don't open until 11:30 and if you sit in the restaurant side they will ask you what game you are interested in watching and they will sit you close to a moniter showing that game. The bar side is first come first served, sit where you want. People will begin lining up at the doors from 11AM on. I suggest you get there around 11:30 as once the restaurant is full it won't empty out until the games at one begin to end. It's tradition for my family when we are down there during football season to watch the Ravens game at ESPN Club. Have fun.

We weren't there for NFL but for college football we were there for the end of a FL game last year and we sat at the bar until 'our' game came on. We didn't have any trouble getting in or getting a bar spot on a Sat afternoon. We probably got there about 2:00pm.

The only thing you might have to lookout for is if it's NASCAR season still. (sorry don't know when this ends) As big as football is NASCAR is even bigger at the ESPN club!

I checked the schedule
10/5 Bears at Detroit plus Nascar at Talladega
11/2 Detroit at Bears plus Nascar at Texas

If you are going 10/5 I would get to the restaurant as soon as it opens...
Talladega is one of the most popular races of the year...

Where can I see a schedule for the days we are going? I can't find it. And would love to catch at least one Yankee game when we are down there.

I have no idea what ESPN will be showing, I just went to the Chicago Bears schedule and the NASCAR schedule....and copied down the dates when the Bears were playing the Lions.
ESPN is fun, they even have TV's in the bathroom so you won't miss a play.

Another option especially if you have a car is the sports bar in the Buena Vista palace in downtown disney. It is called Kook sports bar and claims to have 38 tvs...hopefully not all showing nascar:scared: . I looked into this before but never ended up going as we changed our dates, but it doesn't demand that you show up at 11:00. Might save you some precious mouse time, or in my case, helps me avoid the dirty looks from the wife I'll get for needing 6 hours to watch the Eagles game while in disney world.:rotfl:

This is so funny that this thread came up. We are going in Oct with another couple. She emailed me today asking for the dates again (I'm doing all the planning) for her husband needed to know. I asked if this had anything to do with the Eagles schedule coming out? Most definitely! I thought we could hang out at ESPN but ofcourse its on 10/5 the same day as that big NASCAR race! I should send them this thread, I could do 4 hours, but 6? I don't think so.

Hmmmm....gotta think on this one....there HAS to be somewhere else to watch the game!!

As I just said the buena vista palace at downtown disney, or you could give a call to see if they have sunday ticket at the Sand Trap Bar at the golf course. Lots of sports bars off site, too.

I would recommend going when it opens, grabbing a booth in the bar that has its own tv - the game will be on other tvs too, there's a ton of them. Hang out there, have appetizers, have drinks, eat lunch.

Everytime we go too close to game time, we end up hovering over people in the bar hoping they'll leave soon, and it's uncomfortable. Waiting in line for a regular table can take even longer though. I've never found anywhere else to watch a Pens hockey game in Orlando though. With NFL, you might be able to find other places, like PIERCEDRN said.
