On the Boardwalk: would you recommend the ESPN Club or the Big River Grill & Brewing Works? we only have room for one on this trip: It's just the two of us: my husband and I. Mayyyybe my little sister, but regardless of where we go: she's a chicken nugget eater. Which to choose?:confused3

We've never been to Big River Grille, but we always make a point to eat at ESPN Club every trip. Always have a blast! It's very fun and casual. The food is great and the portions are huge!!

Ive been to both. BRG I hated the food at. My burger was cold and bloody (even though was meant to be well done). I sent it back and wasn't overly impressed with the attitude I got for doing so.

ESPN I like. Food is reasonable and big portions. Also have a great range of beers.

ESPN has pretty decent food and a great atmosphere. We love it there. We have been to both; ESPN would be our pick.

ESPN is great! ::yes::

We've been to both, and we weren't impressed by BRG at all.

I go to Big River Grill at least once every trip. The food is pretty good and the beers are great.

ESPN is horrible. Every several years I forget how bad it is, so I go try it again and am then thoroughly disappointed once again.

For us (and this is just us), the Big River Grill doesn't have enough on the menu that *I* like. Don't like grilled chicken anything, don't like fish, don't really like pork, and really don't enjoy a salad as my main meal. So I'm pretty much left with a burger.

The ESPN Club has a roast beef sandwich, basket of fries, nachos, wings, and a hot dog. Much more variety for me.

That's me. My husband can do either but realizes that I have to be in a burger mood for Big River Grill.

another vote for ESPN -- it's not amazing food by any stretch but it is a fun atmosphere -- think the Grille is very subpar, food-wise

Frequent visitors to ESPN but the last time we went (July 07) the food was bad and the service was average (at best).

DH and I love this place. We have had many a relaxing afternoon sipping a flight of well made brews and people watching. We find the staff to be some of the nicest in our experience and I think the food is great. I have had some great soups there and I like their chicken salad sandwich that was offered as a special once.

ESPN is fine but you can get the same food (deep fried) at your local bar. Unless it's NFL season and I need to watch a Patriots game, you can have ESPN Club. But that is just my opinion. If you want to go at a popular time, make sure to make an ADR.

Happy Eating!

We've been to both, pick ESPN. Yes, the place is really loud but at least you'll get good food and service. About the only thing BRG has going for it is the selection of beers.

This is my response as well. I keep thinking "Surely I am just remembering wrong" and every time ESPN is awful. The items I have had tasted like frozen dinners--preservativey, not fresh. Big River Grill was a highlight of our first trip to WDW. The meal was delish!

I've had several meals at Big River and all have been very good. I'm unsure why it always seems to take a bashing on these boards. I like ESPN ok too, it has a pretty limited menu but as others have said it is a fun atmosphere and it is very economically priced with plentiful portions. I prefer Big River but we are going to ESPN this Sunday because my son has never been.

We've had take-out from ESPN, the foot was fine and portions large. But it is too noisey for me to actually eat there. Also, I don't consider endless blasts of professional sporting events to be entertaining. (IMHO ;) )

I like BRG much better. Very relaxing, we've always had great service. I like the wider selection of non-fried foods.

We always stop at the ESPN Club for burgers/nachos and an ice cold beverage when we are in town visiting the parks or family.
