The menu for sandwhiches and burgers sound great for our familes first night dinner at WDW. :goodvibes

Is ESPN very busy on a Saturday night ?
Specifically June 23, 2012.

Do we need an ADR for ESPN for a Saturday night in late June ?

Are there sports on TV's everywhere at ESPN ?
Is it a loud sports restaurants - guests cheering for teams ?
Any moderatley quiet seating areas ?

Thanks!

Maybe we will do an early dinner. With baseball in full swing - do you think we can get in at 5 PM ?

Unless DS wants to see Yankees at Mets 7:15pm , the 'subway series' :)

Lots of MLB - baseball that night on June 23. 2012, per their web-site.
Some games start at 4 PM...many at 7 PM :scared1:

Below is what I found for June 23. 2012 - Baseball...
Rockies at Rangers TBD
Dodgers at Angels TBD
Mariners at Padres TBD
Cardinals at Royals TBD
Tigers at Pirates 4:05pm
Rays at Phillies 4:05pm
Twins at Reds 4:10pm
Indians at Astros 7:05pm
Nationals at Orioles 7:05pm
Blue Jays at Marlins 7:10pm
Braves at Red Sox 7:15pm
Brewers at White Sox 7:15pm
Yankees at Mets 7:15pm
Giants at Athletics 7:15pm

On June 23rd, 2012 the NHL and NBA Playoffs will have just finished, plus there won't be any NFL or NCAA games being played. So that just leaves MLB and the only important game that day which might draw some people is the Yankees vs Mets. However if you were to get there for 5:00 PM I am sure you won't have any problems getting a table.

Also you should know that the high top tables and boths located in the bar area are always open seating, so if you want to sit there just seat yourself when you arrive. However you can also ask to be seated in their dining room area.

Finally the ESPN Club has over 100 TV's in both their dining room area and bar area, however only their big screen TV's in either room will be the only ones with sound. The smaller TV's don't have any sound to them, so it shouldn't be loud.

Thanks!
But..."Also you should know that the high top tables and boths located in the bar area are always open seating, so if you want to sit there just seat yourself when you arrive. However you can also ask to be seated in their dining room area."

We are adults... DS will be 20 so maybe OK at a bar, but DD will only be 17.

Could we all sit in the bar area ?

DS want to see the Yankee/Met game (we are from NY) - but since it is our 1st night at WDW after an AM traveling to WDW...I think we will be a bit tired. I told him it may be on TV for him to watch. :happytv:

As PPs said - shouldn't be too busy that night. No ADRs accepted. TVs in every corner - so many TVs, I couldn't believe it! We were there on a Sunday for football and it was rather loud with people cheering for teams, but I wouldn't expect that the night you go with no real big sporting events going on.

You all could sit at one of the tables in the bar area. I don't know what the policy is with under 21 at the bar, but there were definitely families at the tables in the bar area when we were there.

Thanks!

I have always seen families with kids sitting in the booths located in the bar area, so there is no rule that you need to be 21 to sit on that side.
