Hi. I'm having a Polynesian wedding and i am wondering who will be the ring bearer, all of our guests are adults. Also, do i wear my engagement ring to the ceremony, if so do i take it off for him to put on the wedding band or does he do that? One other thing, we're supposed to do the sand ceremony since we're outside but all the kits i have found have the bottle you both pour into as a big vase with no lid....how can i travel with that? I was thinking of an actual sand art kind of bottle with the cork topper, but then it's narrow at the top and would need a funnel (if that wouldnt look silly!)..what do other people do?

Thank you:santa:

I can only help with sand the sand ceremony. If you go through disney for the sand kit, theirs has a top. Hope this helps... ;)

I didn't have a ring bearer, the best man held the rings. I put my engagement ring on my right hand and after the ceremony I changed it to my left.

We had an Intimate/Escape wedding and my MOH was our only attendant so she had both rings. She gave them to the minister when he asked for them. It worked out perfectly. Like a PP said, I also put my e-ring on my right hand for the ceremony and moved it back before the cake cutting and pictures.

In my sis's wedding, I held the grooms ring (which I got stuck on my thumb, oops!:rotfl2: ) and the best man held hers. Hope this helps!

I actually had my engagement and wedding rings soldered together a few days before our wedding. So - the best man actually had the engagement and wedding rings. Plus - the bonus - the engagement ring was all "fresh from the jeweler sparkly clean"!

Our 2yo son was our ringbearer- he had fake rings on his pillow, DF actually held our rings since only our boys were in the wedding party!

I wore my eng ring on my right hand until after the ceremony

Is it corny for a 16 year old to give us the rings? He's not going to walk down the aisle but I was thinking of having him present the rings from the audience area. He's my only sibling and I wanted him to be a part of things somehow.

I would give it to the best man. We had a ring bearer, but then again we had every neice and nephew in our wedding. LITERALLY! I would give your engagement ring for someone to hold onto. I gave mine to my friend Lisa who was not part of the wedding party, so she wasn't involved in the chaos. I am sure you think of something fun to do. Maybe you could see if you could have one of the castmembers bring it in for you in Hawaiian dress. I don't know if this is possible but that would be cool. I think it would also be cool if you could have them blow the traditional conch shells. Just an idea.
