Escape Wedding Questions

Hi All -
We are considering a June 2016 Escape wedding at Sea Breeze Point and have some questions. Granted, I know many things can change in a year and a half.

What's the general timeline of the wedding day? How much time is allotted for guest arrival, actual ceremony and then cake/champagne celebration?


What does/can the cake celebration look like? Can we have a first dance?

When do we receive our annual pass vouchers? We are considering a day at the parks w/ our guests a day or 2 before the big day, and I don't want to purchase separate tickets when we're getting an AP.

How does Disney calculate a deposit? We're looking at about a $5900 wedding (not including all of the wedding costs we won't pay to Disney).

Can we combine payments for our 4 days at a WDW hotel and the wedding?

Can we use a WDW dining plan for our 4 days staying onsite without buying additional park tickets?

Is the cake enough to feed all 20 people? Or do I need to plan on purchasing more cake?

Are there any stairs at Sea Breeze Point?

What's the general timeline of the wedding day? How much time is allotted for guest arrival, actual ceremony and then cake/champagne celebration?

Guests arrive at the location maybe 10-15 minutes before the bride. The ceremony lasts 10-15 minutes and the cake-cutting/first dance/toast ceremony lasts maybe 20-30 minutes.

When do we receive our annual pass vouchers? We are considering a day at the parks w/ our guests a day or 2 before the big day, and I don't want to purchase separate tickets when we're getting an AP.

After you submit your signed contract.

How does Disney calculate a deposit? We're looking at about a $5900 wedding (not including all of the wedding costs we won't pay to Disney).

The deposit is a flat $1,000. Of that, $750 is applied to the balance due 30 days out. $250 is reserved to cover overages, then returned after the event.

Can we combine payments for our 4 days at a WDW hotel and the wedding?

You pay Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings separately from paying Walt Disney Travel Co. or making a deposit on a room-only resort reservation.

Can we use a WDW dining plan for our 4 days staying onsite without buying additional park tickets?

Yes, they have a dining plan option for annual passholders.

Is the cake enough to feed all 20 people? Or do I need to plan on purchasing more cake?

The cake will feed 35-45 people if you include the top tier. The bottom tier is more than enough for 20, and most couples report having tons of leftover cake to eat on their honeymoon

Are there any stairs at Sea Breeze Point?

Two or three in the front, but there are ramps that go up the sides. You can choose to use either the front or the sides as the aisle you walk down.
