Escape VR: do dvc reservations count?

Hi All,

Someone here might know if a DVC reservation will count toward the 4 night stay that is required?
Or, do I need to get the ressie number of our friends who have a disney reservation?

I'm filling out the info for the contract and forgot to ask the sales guy.
