Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

Ibouncetoo--- okay...no getting any more health problems. :wizard::wizard::wizard: I know that you had no choice.

BlueBayou---I don't think that you would need much extra cash unless you plan to have adult beverages (pricey), want to eat a cheap TS like
The Plaza or Beaches and Cream (not the best for the dollar on the TS), and sampling items at EPCOT's Food and Wine. The Regular DDP has you eating 2 desserts and 1 snack per person. We used the fridge at CSR for at least half of our desserts from counter service from the Pepper Market to used as a small breakfast. We usually ate an early lunch and early dinner. We had a hard time yusing up our snack credits. I guess that you might want to used some credits for juice, milk (single serving size), water (Smart Water gives one bang for the credit), and fruit for breakfast.

NC Beast and I had split CS in past trips. We used a lot of snack credits last Aug/Sept on the low fat (maybe its nonfat) yougart smoothies from various eateries like Main Street Bakery.

I'm still working on our WDW plans. We had to buy a tv Sunday night---our tube tv was breaking down. We are most likely driving down and bringing some grocery items/water/sodas/beer/??? . I'm not cutting out the party tickets...just not buying SW tickets unless its a super ding deal.

POFQ sounds great and you will enjoy having a fridge in the room. It is not that much difference in free dining deal when you factor in upgrade the value's free dining(2 Cs one) to a moderate with free regular dining. Values are okay and had good buses usually (well, CSR <mod>, All Stars, and Pop visits---long lines for buses close to opening/closing times/emh days).

We are renting points/paying for reg. ddp for our trip and might stay at CSR the night (AP discount was still available) before our SSR rental (or if we are lucky ducks on waitlist...AKV). I was hoping to had expand our trip to cover the holiday weekend, but we had extra expenses that popped up. I'm glad that we only need to buy NC B his park hopper for this trip.

We just told MIL about Disney and she wishes that she did not already had plans for TN (Nashville and a side trip to Graceland with some of her buddies). MIL prefers our iternary to Graceland. I guess I might need to plan a trip with her next year when the older niece is doing some kind of cheerleading event at WDW in the spring. I might be just as well to let my AP go and buy new in the spring even with the 15 month deal.

RRBB--- Great pictures as always of the kids and OF.

We had a good day yesterday.
We picked my friend, and her DD, up from the airport, and then my friend took us out for Mexican, which was yummy. Then I just relaxed at home, and then visited with my neighbors for awhile - it was a nice day!!!:)

RRBB - Thanks for the bday wish for Katie!!!:goodvibes
**I love your scrapbook pages - thanks for posting them:)
**Have fun with your new iPhone - Kevin really likes his :thumbsup2
**Good luck to Ian :wizard: I hope he loves his new school

BB - Congrats on booking your trip!!!!:cool1:

ibounce - I"m glad your procedure went well :)

Belle - :wav2:

I guess it's time to go get this week started
Have a great day today everyone!!

Good morning everyone, live from my balcony at Animal Kingdom Lodge!! We decided to get 24 hours of internet access so we could do one line check in. We fly home at 6:15 this afternoon but we have had a great trip (will post more about it when I get home.) AKL is lovely, our room overlooks the savannah that is shared with the new DVC Kidani Village and we have seen lots of animals. The trip has been great, we have done so much I feel I need a rest when I get home!!

Well I had better finish packing the cases and check out.

NC Belle - Are you there the exact same time as Geffric? She and I will pass like ships in the night on her departure/our arrival day.

Guys - I still can't believe I have a trip booked and it is only 6 weeks away.

I am getting my oldest daughter involved in the trip planning. I think she will be my little planning buddy this trip. A fairy Godmother brought a passporter to work today - and I was reading restaurant descriptions to DD8 prior to bed.

Do you know any place that for sure has Creme Brule (sp?). That is a request.

I am trying to get a general idea of 8 to 10 table places we want to eat at. Then I am going to try my luck at getting some of them.It is hard because I want to have ADRs in place - but want my family to feel free to ditch a couple. I want to have some relaxing elements in this vacation - not feeling like we have to rush/stop having fun at what we are doing in order to make an ADR. But I know I don't want to be a hungry travel zombie with TS credits and no place to use them.

Sher, you will have lots of opportunities for creme brulee. It's on lots of menus. Have you looked at menus? A good place is www.mousemanager.com as well as allears ...just remember, those puppies change too. Have you viewed the food porn thread?

Let's try for lunch Wed or Thu (not Friday...I have switchboard).

:grouphug: to all my Tagliarchy pals!

.

Hey everyone, I'm back from WDW, we even landed an hour early (7 hours instead of an 8 hour flight) curtesy of the jet stream from hurricane Bill.

So hightlights:
* AKL was wonderful, great savannah view.
* Treats in restaurants for our anniversary, free glass of champagne and chocolate cake at California Grill, cards from several restaurants (accompanied by and song and dance when we were given it at Sanaa.)
* Finally rode Everest and loved it. I had made a t-shirt that said "Finally going in search of the Yeti." A CM in line asked what it meant and I explained how I loved coasters and it had opened the day after we left on our last trip, so she gave us an extra set of fastpasses so we could go straight back round and ride again.
* Seeing the shuttle on the launch pad at Kennedy and getting within a mile of the pad on our up close tour.
* Lovely CM's, really friendly. We saw loads of UK CM's too, one is from the village next to where my parents live.
* Free dining, we ate at restaurants that we might not usually have chosen and had some nice meals.
* Attending the Mickey Moms Club desert party and illuminations VIP viewing. I got the invite thanks to another disser who could not go and passed her invite on to me. We were taken to a large building behind Canada (didn't even know it was there!) for free drinks and deserts - Mickey crispy cakes, Mickey ice cream bars etc you could have as much as you wanted. Then they had roped off the area at the entrance to the world showcase (the area directly accross the lake from the USA pavillion) for us to watch Illuminations. We had a perfect view.
* Doing lots of pin trading, even Pete has started a pin collection - he collects Star Ward ones!

Not so good points:
* Only 1. Why are some people so rude? I have psoriosis on my legs and so have red patches on my skin. I am used to people looking at this and that doesn't bother me, but I could not believe that some strangers thought it was OK to come up to me and actually say, "What is wrong with you?" I mean, it is none of your business. On the plus side when you reply with "I have a skin disease" you suddenly have more space around you in line which is a good thing when it is so hot! lol.

Oh and one funny thing. When we were checking our bags in at Orlando airport yesterday we had just dropped the bags off and turned around when we saw the next person behind us was one of our friends from our theatre group and his partner. We knew one another loved WDW as we have chatted about it a lot, but we did not know we were going at the same time! It was strange bumping into someone you know in an American airport!!

Well I better go and sort the cases out, washing to do, things to put away and pins to sort (I bought way too many!!)

*We are trying to be at WDW on October 3 and leave on the 9th (or maybe still be adding on at another hotel).

*NC Beast had good creme brulee at Coral Reef, Narcossee's, Kona Cafe, Les Chefs de France, and Le Cellier in the past.

*We had luck in changing our meal plans...maybe...65% of the time in early October if we were there prior to the dining rooms opening for lunch/dinner. It is more difficult to try restaurants like Le Cellier and most character dining. We even ate at the bar area of Flying Fish, but I don't think that they would allow kids to eat that way.

Dana i'm so glad you enjoyed your trip! I can't wait to see pictures :)

Sorry i've been MIA lately. I'm off to college on thursday so it's been really hectic here with packing and last minute things :faint:

Hi! I am going ADR booking crazy. The system is now down. But before it stopped working, I think I got an early dinner at Boma on Sunday, a late breakfast at the Crystal Palace and a 4:30pm dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe. All within 10 minutes of the time I was trying to get.

BlueBayou--- your adrs sound great. The girls will love Crystal Palace. NC B. and I have a lot of fun with Pooh and his pals in the past.

I'm still working on our plans. NC Beast has Columbus Day off so we have some flexibility on our day to come back (provided that there is room in the budget). I'm trying to stick with restaurants with plenty of healthy choices so NC B. won't backslide too much. He has worked so hard on his weight loss.

I wasn't thinking of the girls when I booked it. It was for my husband ;)

So should a 10:25am breakfast on a Monday be good?

I have also added a Le Chefs de France dinner. My DD8 really wanted it.

Mornings after late emh at MK are usually lighter and great. I have CP scheduled on the week before your park day---only we are there before the park opens. I hope that we will wake up in time. NC B. loves breakfast so its more for him.

The kids menu at Chefs looks like your DD would find something good. My late FIL loved the table that we had in 2006 which overlooked the fountain plus the food. I'm not sure if the Remy character will still be around in October.

It should be great. Breakfast is a better time to go in my opinion as it's a little less crowded than the other meals. And don't forget to have some of the breakfast lasagna! It's amazing :cloud9:

Danauk - I'm so glad you had a a great trip, and your stay at the AKL sounds lovely!!!:goodvibes
**OMGosh - I can't believe that people asked you about your skin  How rude!!!!! I get something really similiar with my hands (you've heard me talk about my hands haven't you?). I have a condition where they crack and bleed when it starts to get cold (sept) and I get so many random people that will say to me "YOU SHOULD PUT LOTION ON THOSE HANDS!!!!" (if I had a dollar for everytime I heard this). I just say, "I do, but it doesn't help" Then they of course have something I've never tried, and they won't accept that it's a condition I have, and basically nothing will help. Oh well, you and I can vent about this together now, because we understand how each other feels:)

BB - Good luck with all your trip planning:) (I really miss doing that this year).

ibounce and Belle - :wave2:

SeeWhat - Good luck with going to college :wizard:

I gotta run and wake up the girls - have a good day!!!

BlueBayou--- are you using the one park a day passes or hoppers?
We spent the extra $$$ and got park hoppers. We are just so use to park hopping at Disneyland - I don't want to feel like we are trapped in a crowded park. We don't have the water parks added. I figure if we do a water park - we would only want to do one, so it was not worth the money to add it.
