Hi guys!!

NCBelle Glad you had a fab trip to WDW, can't wait to hear all about it.

Geffric It was so nice to finally meet you. I'm glad you too had a fab trip.

Well we are back into the school year full swing now. The children came back yesterday and I am adjusting to teaching a younger age group (I can't believe how long they take to do simple things such as underlining the date and title in their work, I may need to put fewer activities into my lessons for a while until I speed them up!) I couldn't believe my assistant this morning. She asked the kids if they wanted to have a class pet in front of me so I had to agree. We are now getting 2 hampsters (she wanted a house rabbit but I said no to that one!!) Its a good job I like pets as if the children can't take them home I will have to as her son is allergic to animals!

Oh well better go, I'm up to day 10 of my trip report now and I need to upload more photos.

Ohhhh, I'd be pulling her aside right away and laying down some rules!

I need to go catch up on your blog!

 Hi everyone. We just got home a few hours ago... let the kids play, had pizza for dinner, bathed and put the kids to bed. I'm going to do the same shortly as I haven't had a decent night's sleep in over 2 weeks. (Sophia woke in the middle of the night all but 2 nights of the whole trip.)

We had a great time on the cruise and at WDW after. Sophia is now a true toddler now!!!

Got lots to share but too tired now. I'll come back to report tomorrow. :)

Welcome home!!!!!:)
I"m so glad you had a great time on your vacation:yay:
I'm sorry you weren't able to get a good amount of sleep - I hate it when that happens to me:guilty: It always makes you feel so groggy. I hope you are able to catch up on some sleep at home.:wizard:

I'm glad Jessie did good at the kennel :dog: I had a great kennel that I used to use for my bigger dogs, and they (the dog) were always so glad to come home when I picked them up. My shepherd used to cry and jump on me when I would pick him up - it was embarrassing how he would be. I learned to where long sleeves and long pants, because one time he scratched the heck out of my leg, because of him jumping on me:rolleyes:

Don't you just hate that after cruise laundry, and putting things away? It's the worst part of the trip!!!!
**Sounds like you have a busy weekend. Good luck to Eric and his team - I hope they win!!!:cheer2:

I can't believe your assistant did that without talking to you first:mad:
I think I would discuss with her, that if she wants to other things like this in the future, that she must talk to you first. Good luck with the pet!!!:wizard:

Belle, I've got you and The Beast in my thoughts today. How is the weather by you? Please check in, and let us know how things are going.

Have a good day to all!!!

Hi everyone I hope you are all having a great weekend.

NCBelle How is the weather in your area, I hope you are staying safe.

Slo I just realised you will be at WDW when we are at DLRP. Are you going to the MNSSHP? DLRP are having them for the 1st time this year which should be fun. I have never been in DLRP in the dark so I am looking forward to taking some night time pictures and doing BTMRR in the dark!!

RRBB Sorry you had a sleepless cruise, but glad you had a great trip. It was lovely to finally meet you all.

ibouncetoo I had words with my assistant! I know she only did that because she knows I love animals and would have agreed to it anyway!! I've had class pets in the past. Although it was a good excuse to make sure she is in charge of making sure the pet is cleaned out!! My assistant this year is the one I worked with a few years ago who has a Mickey Mouse themed car (she has never been to Disney!!) Our classroom this year is Disney themed!! I just updated day 10 of my trip report, a celeb encounter!!

We are having quite bad weather here. On Friday it rained all day (the children had indoor play at break and lunch time which was not fun!) and we had more rain fall in 24 hours than we usually have in the whole month. Quite a few towns are on flood alert and the pond in our back garden has over flowed. My parents are due to leave early tomorrow morning to go on a 2 week cruise around the Med. They are flying to Spain tomorrow morning to catch the boat then cruising for 2 weeks before flying back from Turkey.

We fared pretty good with TS Hanna---winds were not too bad and lot of rain bands. We had power flickering on and off all morning from branches on the main roads hit the wires. We had some standing water in the yard, but it has started to drain. Jessie did well during the night, but hated going out this morning with the tail end of the rain. We are still have a bit of wind, but its not bad.

I wanted to go get a gadget to help download the pictures, but the sotres are in low-lying areas prone to high water. I hope to be able to share some cool pictures soon.

NC Belle welcome home. Can't wait to see your pics. And glad y'all are safe from Hanna.

I've been downright pooped lately, falling into bed by 10pm the last couple of nights. Sophia is still waking in the middle of the night - something she didn't do before our trip - and it's driving me nuts. She just wants to snuggle, but I'd rather be sleeping soundly in my own bed instead of nodding in the chair in her room. (I know, I know. I should let her figure out how to get herself back to sleep on her own. But it's so hard listening to her scream "mommy" for very long.)

I'm still working on unpacking. Seven cases down, four to go. Still trying to figure out where everything goes, though.

The kids started school this week, Ian on Thursday and Sophia on Friday. (Classes actually began Tuesday but we didn't get home until late Wednesday afternoon.) Ian got his teacher from the camp that he absolutely loves. We'd originally requested other teachers but changed the request over the summer. She won "Teacher of the Year" a couple years ago so I figured you can't go wrong with that kind of endorsement. Sophia did great her first day. The class was having snack when I dropped her off and she didn't see me leave since she was sitting in a chair with her back to me. I peaked in on the playground about an hour later and saw her happily playing in a car so left her until after lunch. (The school recommends picking up the little ones a couple hours early the first week or two while they get adjusted.) She's going to be staying for aftercare - until 2:45 starting next week so she can get in a good nap on school days. Otherwise she'd probably only get 20-30 minutes because of Ian's schedule on those days. I'd rather not have a cranky girl in the evenings so she's staying!

Oh yeah, Sophia is officially out of the car carrier. I bought her a new, big car seat the other day so no more easy moves when she falls asleep in the car now. Considering most babies/children are out of the carrier by their first birthday, nearly 16 months of not worrying about waking her when she slept in the car seat is pretty good.

I did most of our laundry the couple days we were at WDW so putting it away isn't so bad. It's everything else that's the pain!

It was so nice to finally meet you and Pete, too. Dinner with y'all was fun. We'll have to do it again some time. ;)

Okay, back to more unpacking and putting stuff away. Our bed is covered with "stuff" and if I want to sleep there tonight I'd better move it...

Good morning! I can't believe I'm the first one here today.

Sophia woke again in the middle of the night, but not until 4:30. It seems she waking an hour later each day. Hopefully in a couple it will stop.

Not much going on here today. I think OF is going to take the kids out for a while, probably to see Grandma Pooch. I'll finish unpacking the last suitcases and putting them away. Still trying to figure out where to put all the other "stuff" though.

We are having another glorious day (sunny and 73)!!!! :sunny:
I keep wondering if I should take the girls to the park, and make a picnic lunch :scratchin As much as I would like to do that, I also need to do some work around the house (working till 7 everyday is taking a toll on the upkeep of the house. The house looks neat to people, but they better not give it the white glove treatment:eek: )So I don't know what I"m going to do  I'll probably end up staying home, and letting the girls play outside.

Danauk - I"m sorry you are having such bad weather :guilty: I hope it gets better soon :wizard:
**Yes, we are going to MNSHHP ::yes:: It should be alot of fun!!!!:cool1:

Belle - I"m glad to hear you are doing well in the storm, and were able to check in.
I"ve been worried about you

RRBB - I"m sorry to hear about Sophia waking in the middle of night :guilty: Hopefully she'll snap out of this phase, and start sleeping though the night again soon:wizard:

Well, I'm off to make some French Toast Sticks for breakfast
Have a good day today!!!

Just stopping by quickly to ask if you could possible spare some prayers and PD tomorrow. My MIL is having an operation to remove some skin cancer cells tomorrow. She had an operation a while ago but they need to remove a larger area just to be safe.

:grouphug: prayers and PD .... hope she is better and that there is no reoccurance..

DanaUK - I hope all is well with your MIL.

We had a nice weekend around the house. I got a migraine Thursday night (Right after calling Poison Control after my 7-year-old put nail polish on her lips - yes she knows better, I have no idea what she was thinking).

Friday I was off from work to volunteer in my girls' classes. That went well - but could have been better if I did not the migraine hangover headache.

Yesterday my oldest had a sleep-over birthday party to attend. My youngest was extremely disappointed that she could not go. My husband and I decided to treat her. She and I got our nails done. Then we opted to act like a tourist in our own town. I kept reading trip reports on the DIS that mentioned Margaritaville. We have one in town - so that is where we went. It was pricey and the food was just okay. But the atmosphere was great and my daughter got a balloon crown from a balloon maker on stilts. The outdoor mall where the restaurant is located also has a water fountain display every half hour. We were around for it going off while we waited for our table. My DD was very cute dancing with the water. People were asking if she was ours and commenting on how adorable she was.

It was nice to be able to focus on one kid and not deal with the sibling fighting. We have a lot of that going on right now. So while not exactly a 'date' night for my husband and I - it was a little break from some of the parenting we are doing now.

We ended up staying home all day yesterday, which was good, because I was able to clean alot of house. I got so much done, because Stephanie was at a friends house, and Katie was outside playing with friends/neighbors kids all day. Now 2 out of the 4 levels of this house can get the white glove treatment:thumbsup2 (I don't touch the basement - that's Kevins domain, and I didn't have enough time to do the upstairs)

Danauk - I defintitly keep your MIL in my thoughts and prayers today:angel: My FIL had this done too, and he is fine, I"m sure your MIL will be okay too

BB - My girls are fighting alot now too, and I understand how nice it is to be with only one. I"m glad you had a nice time, and I bet your DD really enjoyed it too :goodvibes
**How scary about your DD putting the nail polish remover on her mouth:eek: Did she say why she did it?
**Migraines are so awful aren't they?! I've been suffering with them for so long, and I totally understand what you meant about the hangover headache - those are terrible!!!! I'm glad you are better now!!:)

Well, I gotta go workoff the weekend.
Have a good day today!!!

**How scary about your DD putting the nail polish remover on her mouth:eek: Did she say why she did it?
No - and the poison control guy acted like it was a call he gets all the time. Told me not to worry about getting it off her lips - use a little veggie oil or just leave it. I don't know what had gotten into Lily that day. She lost a tooth at school (they gave her a plastic tooth necklace to keep it in). She was messing around with it on the playground and actually lost it for good. Then she swallowed a bead from game at school. What was it doing in her mouth? It was not a good day for her.

Brrrrrr...........it's a little chilly outside this morning. :cold:
I was really surprised when I took Sophie outside.

Speaking of Sophie, she was groomed for the first time yesterday, and she looks really cute :dog: All her "new" puppy hair is now gone, and she looks so much older, which is sad, but it's nice to not have her so scruffy.

BB - Poor Lily, she did have a bad day :guilty: Was she devostated about losing her tooth? I know Stephanie would have been if that happened to her. When it comes to the bead she swallowed, I'm shocked that something liked this never happened to STephanie. She's always been terrible about putting things in her mouth, and she still is at the age of 10:headache: Drives me crazy!!!!!

Have a good day everyone!!

Morning...

I can echo SLO's comment.. it is way to cold!!!! Must be in the 40's today.. what is up with that???

BB - hope that Lilly has a better day today. Did the tooth fairy come even without her tooth??

SLO - Geoff put stuff in his mouth all the time.. still does:confused3 ... but the only time we had to go to the doctor about it was when he put the tape from the lego package in his ear.. it took quite an effort to get that out...kids.. gotta love em.. but they do some of the strangest things..

 Danauk---we keep your MIL and family in our thoughts and prayers.

 BlueBayou---I hope that Lily had a better day today.

:rolleyes1 Geffric and Slo--its getting cold here in the mornings too---in the 60's and 70's as our lows. I guess our shorts weather will be ending soon. :(

I need to upload pictures to a hosting site soon---got them finally loaded into the pc. I don't have as many food pictures because NC Beast got to the food too soon before I got a picture. The No Way Jose sundae had no chance in being photographed...yes...NC B. got the stare ;) I think my favorites were Tutto Italia (great looking waiters, the food was good too), Le Cellier lunch, and the Pepper Market (lot of our cs units went here). We had a lot of smoothies with the heat/humidity.

Yawn.......these cold dark mornings are brutal for getting up :surfweb:
Even Sophie doesn't want to get up:sad2: I open her cage door, and then I have to give a little "come on" to get her moving. She knows its warmer in her little den, than going outside to go potty:laughing:

Well, I gotta go and workout. I really don't want to go outside - I haven't acclamated myself to this cold weather yet :cold: So I've been working out in the house. Have a good day!!!
