Escape rooms in Atlanta?

You escape from it, they are fairly new..you have riddles, puzzles to figure out in a time limit to get out

Someone's been watching "Kate Plus 8"?

Escape rooms are a lot of fun. We've done them in Memphis and Gatlinburg.

I took my staff to do one for our Christmas event a couple of weeks ago. There was nothing that would have been inappropriate for a kid per se; but the tasks and puzzles were HARD...most kids would have been totally lost and while the hour flew by for us, it would have seemed long and boring for a kid who wasn't able to productively participate.

Could you tell me where one is in Memphis? That might be something my granddaughter would enjoy, and she has a birthday coming up before long.

If you find one in your area I'd highly recommend you either go yourself first to check it out or try to find somebody you know that has. The ones I've heard of are really not anything like Disney; not winsome or playful in the way maybe you're thinking. Good luck, whatever you decide.

We just did this on Christmas Eve w/ Dh's side of the family. Our group was large, so we split up into 2 smaller groups. The group I was in escaped from a prison cell, & the other group had to find a zombie vaccine & escape.

Our "scenario" was completely kid-friendly, & there was nothing objectionable. The vaccine scenario was a little more intense - it was dark in some places, but it too was probably PG.

However, the puzzles *were* hard - lots of logic, math, reading, etc.

Everyone in our group absolutely loved it, & we're already planning when we can go back. However, the youngest in our group was aged 14.

Sugarloaf Mills Mall in Gwinnett County has one. I don't know if it's kid friendly or even how good it is.

I was Christmas shopping and saw it.

I'm obsessed with Escape The Room Games, but you will get better answers to your questions from tripadvisor or even google than here.

It's right off Poplar before you get to the 240 junction. It's in an office building. How old is your granddaughter? The puzzles are pretty complex, so younger kids probably won't be able to figure them out. Teenagers and older would be fine, though. We took our nine year old to the one in Gatlinburg, and he was able to help out with some of the clues. He wouldn't have been able to progress very far with a group of kids his own age, though.
Here's a link to the one in Memphis. We've done the Parallax and Carnival Asylum rooms.

Thanks! Youngest granddaughter is 14, and loves mysteries. Her older sister is 22; they could possibly do it together, they are together a lot when big sister is home from college. And thanks for the link!

Sounds like they'd enjoy it. The only thing is they have seven slots in each room and they try to fill them up if they can. When we went the first time we had five in our group and two random folks were paired with us. The nature of having to work together to solve the puzzles is kind of awkward with people you don't know, so they'd probably enjoy it more if they could get a group of seven to go.

I doubt they would have a problem finding a group to go, but I'll pass that on, too. Thanks again.
