Can someone please clarify how many rooms/blocks are required for an escape package? I've seen a few different numbers and I'm confused. My fiance and I are staying 3 nights (Using DVC points) and his mom is renting a grand villa at BW for 4 nights (Using DVC points). Would that satisfy our requirements??

Thanks
Sharon :)

Yes. With an escape wedding the minimum room requirement is 4 nights. You don't have to do a room block or anything. HTH. :goodvibes

I thought the bride and groom needed 4 nights for an escape wedding?

Uh oh. Maybe we're confusing her more. When I originally contacted DFTW I was going with an escape. They had told me all I had to guarantee was 4 nights at the resorts. They didn't specify that it just had to be the bride and groom.

Ok, just looked at my LOA. It says the requirement is 4 consecutive nights stay. I assumed that referred to the bride and groom since it also stipulates that the wedding can't be held on the day of check in or check out, plus it lists the resort that we'll be staying at as well as our reservation number.

At first I thought you could just use your mom's reservation number but then neither the couple's names would be on that reservation.

It does not have to be consecutive mine isn't and my sales consultant said this was fine.

I'm getting married in March 2011 and was told to qualify for an escape wedding the bride & groom have to stay a minimum of 5 nights @ a Disney operated hotel. No other guests do. Hope that helps !

Well, I guess that answers it. The only way to know for sure is to ask DFTW and probably get it in writing. Sounds like the answer depends on who you speak to.

Officially, if you book an Escape event through Disney, you (the couple) are required to stay 4 nights at a Disney owned-and-operated resort. They don't have to be consecutive.

Yes, as long as they're Disney and don't conflict with the whole "no ceremonies on the day you check in" rule.

thanks lurkyloo! you seem to know everything disney, you should be paid for all your knowledge!
