I was just wondering how an Escape wedding works with a reception. Is a reception included, if not then how much does it usually cost??
Thanks in advance

No a reception is not included. You can have one though. The cost depends on how guests, courses, location etc

What is included is a cake, cake cutting and bottle of champagne for a toast. Your disney photographer will be there to snap pictures of all of this immediately after your ceremony. Once that's done you're on your own. We booked dinner for 20 at Narcoossee's and then the Grand 1 for a Wishes fireworks cruise after ours. Total on the 2 things for 20 people we spent under $2K above and beyond the price of the wedding.

I've seen other brides do lunches, brunches, private dinners at the California Grill or Citrico's - just about anything you can think of. Some couples will also do a dessert party or even skip the meal and just do the dessert party - they choose a menu with more appetizers and not all desserts. As an escape bride you have to be a little more creative, but you can do and spend as much or as little as you want.

Awesome...thanks so much for all the info. That helps a ton!
Has anyone done a brunch type meal after an Escape ceremony?

Our 2010 Premium Escape Collection wedding will be $5500.00 and that is based on using the 2009 prices, as 2010 prices have not been established yet. It includes the following:
1) Telephone meeting with a Disney Wedding Coordinator prior to the Wedding.
2) Onsite Wedding Coordinator the day of your wedding
3) Brides Wedding bouquet & Grooms boutonniere
4) A two tier wedding cake with a cake topper to keep
5) A bottle of Fairy Tale Cuvee (approx. 6 glasses per bottle)
6) A violinist during ceremony & cake cutting
7) 4 hour limousine service
8) 2 hours of a Disney Photographer and an album of 20 images
9) A personalize wedding website
10) Two annual passes

Any changes to the above will result in additional charges.

The Deluxe Escape Collection includes all of the above however you can only choice from the following locations:
1) Sea Breeze Point at Disneys Boardwalk Resort
2) The Gazebo at Disney's Yacht Club Resort
3) Sunrise Terrence at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
4) Sunset Point at Disney's Polynesian (limited to 10 people and booked seasonally Oct-March Only).

The above information was sent to me via e-mail from Disney. If you would like me to forward this to you, please send to me a private message.

I feel like that isn't TOO over priced, since most of those elements would probably equal that anyway, and they set it up for you.

Ever think about having a dessert party? That's what I would be looking for!

How did your dinner at Narcoossee turn out? Our family is basically buffet people and I thought treating everyone to a buffet would be easier because everyone will have a wide selection of food and no one should go away still hungrey.

My family are not big dessert eaters so I figured we would do a buffet.
I compared the costs seperately; the cost of renting the WP, photographer, limo etc. and the difference was only a $200.00 so instead of us adding more stress to our wedding, we have decided to go with Disney's package and let them take care of everything. The only thing we are still debating is a dinner buffet or spend that money on a private dinner. We can do the buffet for $690.00 that includes 21 people & tip plus I will use our Tables in Wonderland card to get 20% off our bill.
I think having a private dinner will add alot more onto our wedding budget.

I'm having a DP after my Escape wedding and so are lots of other brides on here.
