Escape Question - Can we meet with a wedding planner in person?

DH2B & I are heading to the World in March and I was thinking about scheduling an appt with a wedding planner at Franck's to talk about the Escape package. Have any Escape brides had a face-to-face to discuss the details?

We are currently planning for a wedding date of 4/28/10.

Hi there...

From my recent conversation with DFTW... I was told that you don't meet with the coordinator since there is the possibility you might not have the same person the day of the wedding.

However, if you want to have a lunch or dinner with your guest after the ceremony you could arrange a meeting to look at a couple places.

Since you are going down to Orlando anyway, I would call your coordinator and ask to see if they will atleast meet with you at your hotel.

I am not an escape bride to be, but i am also going down there in March to go to Franck's to check some stuff out and ask to be taken round some locations!

I was down in WDW in Oct on vacation from NY and came right out and asked my WC if we could meet or anything to go over stuff (I'm an Escape bride) and was nicely told Escape brides don't get any in person consultations etc...only phone and e-mail. It bummed me out for about 5 mins, then I got over it, when to Franck's to check it out by ouselves just for the heck of it (couldn't really do much there, just check out some favors and table ideas).

I have found I didn't really miss meeting my co-ordinator in person, everything has worked out swimmingly so far, and I'm just about done planning everything.

So, I'll get to meet her on my wedding day! Just something else to look forwards to!

Thanks for the responses. Our date is still 14 months out, so we don't have a WC yet since we can't officially book until the end of April. I was just hoping to go into Franck's and talk to someone about the options for an Escape wedding, not necessarily to plan the details of my wedding. I guess it wouldn't hurt to just pop in and look around.

Yeah, that's why we went in also, but Rosie the Escape Floral Coordinator (who'll you get to talk to after you are assigned your regular Wedding Coordinator) does not work out of Francks'...and when we stopped by, the person there at Franck's just kept telling us that they couldn't really help us because we were an Escape Wedding.

It was a bit weird and off-putting, but I didn't let it get to me, it was nice just to look around for ideas and stuff, but you will probably spend about 10 mins there to be honest.....Just giving you the heads up.
