Escape Photo CD Price??

I'm having an Escape wedding in February. We've just recently contacted Disney and are waiting for our contract. I'm not really happy that we don't get the rights to our photos. How much is the high resolution CD of your photos?? I'm guessing it's not cheap.

According to the passporter it is $395 for just the CD. If you order prints or a photo book it gets more expensive. I have to ask what made you think you would get the rights to all the photos for free? No professional photographer or photography service gives all the photos and rights to use them included in the price of the session.

The price of the CD for Escape couples varies depending on your situation.

If you live outside North America, it's free and they give it to you before you leave the US.

For those who live in North America, it works like this: If you just buy the disc immediately, it's $750, or it goes down to $350 if you wait 3 years. However, now that DPS has introduced upgraded Escape photography packages that include the disc, it would make more sense to buy the Cinderella Collection D package because it contains the disc and a bunch of other photo products for $750.

Alternatively, you can give up all the photo products included in the Escape package and get your images on disc for $395.

I know for 2011 the CD for the ceremony is $500 (I was just looking at getting one until I switched to Wishes) and was told bridal shoot was $750 + wedding. I am sure because DPS adds all photos under one account you could prob get CD of wedding and the bridal shoot would be there (if you are doing them) but the prices have gone up for 2011

Most photographers will include the cost of the high res. images as part of their package. So you are paying for it, just inclusively. Buying it separately always struck me as odd, too, when it came to DPS.

I met with a lot of local professional photographers in the Orlando area who photograph Disney Weddings. Everyone of them included the High Resolution DVD in their packages and the rights to print the pictures. The only one that didn't include it was DPS. Their packages were more expensive than all the outside photography vendors I contacted and those prices didn't include the DVD/CD of images. Once you added that in, it was way over what other professionals were charging. Another thing I didn't like was that you couldn't choose your photographer. I think some are much better than others. Just my opinion.
