Hi everyone I have been planning a wedding for a few months now for next October and I have been trying to plan a haunted hotel themed wedding. After a few months(cant believe it even took this long) I realized...hey Tower of Terror thats my inspiration! So I looked it up and I read that it IS possible to get married at the Tower of Terror. I will have about 15 people and was hoping that the escape package could accomadate my wish. Does anyone know any more information regarding weddings at the Tower of Terror in Disney World?

Sorry - I dont know if it's possible or anything but wanted to say:

What an awesome idea!!!

Can't wait to see photos!!!!! Roll on this time next year!!

Can I ask where you found out this was possible? HOW COOL! Definitely call a coordinator and ask them for info tomorrow!! Keep us updated i'm intrigued!

I heard it in a few places...I typed it into google and found traveldir.org and it says "A little weird is that you can also tie your wedding knot at plummeting elevator at The Tower of Terror at Disney MGM Studios. Is your wedding vacation going to be that terrifying?" and also I found it on Walt Disney World News...and it says "Disney adds extra touch with themed in-park weddings" and it follows to say"Disney's Hollywood Studios

Screaming fans and autograph hounds set the scene. The bride arrives in a star motorcade down Hollywood Boulevard for an official handprint ceremony at the Chinese Theater. A reception follows in the Great Movie Ride attraction. The evening can end with "Sorcery in the Sky" fireworks featuring a personalized pyro show. Couples can even "take the plunge" -- literally and figuratively -- on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror."

Im just hoping I am reading this all correctly!

I am almost positive they are going to tell you no for an escape. Even if it is possible to have it in The Tower of Terror you have very limited location choices for escape weddings.

Ya that was my guess but I was hoping to get any information regarding the tower of terror and weddings. If I have to upgrade to a wishes package it will be worth it ...its just that im having 15 people and its hard to make the limits with that amount of people.

Escape weddings can only be held at the Wedding Pavilion or the four resort locations: Sunset Pointe, Sunrise Terrace, Sea Breeze Point, and Yacht Club Gazebo. They do not budge on this. If you want an in-park wedding, you have to do a Wishes Collection event. The guest minimum for that is 10 people, so you're OK in that regard.

Tower of Terror has been a location in the past, however it seems like recently brides have been told they can't use it. If this is currently the case, then you may still be able to work in a ride on TOT even if they don't let you use it as a reception location. There are numerous other locations in MGM that you could then go to for your reception.

Only Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings can answer this question for you, I'm afraid.... Good luck! :thumbsup2

Thank you for the info...I will def. be asking! I am not planning on holding the reception there...just the ceremony. I wish they would just open it for 30 minutes!! I feel like a kid jumping up and down begging their mother for a special toy they want...but if I get any information I will let you guys all know in case your curious!

If you can at least do a TOT theme I think that would be awesome!
