we are planning a VR for our 20th anniversary. there could only be about 12 of us total, but I want to do a few special activities with everyone( most will be family) any suggestions would be appreciated. I like the ideas of the d. party but could I even have that? (I know it would be extra)The major issue with having a wishes VR is the room block. Everyone has such wonderful plans.

Just was wondering if I need to arrange additional activities separately, or through recreation etc or could a coordinator help? My guess is separate.

I'm pretty sure most of the group activities would have to be booked separately. Although your coordinator might be able to give you ideas and should be able to give you contact information.

You might see what options you have with "Magical Gatherings"...they typically do things for groups and maybe they also have some ideas.

The Disney website has this info : LINK

You might also ask about special park tours (Keys to the Kingdom, etc.) that might be available.

I hope others have more info for you!

Thank you. I have looked at the magical gathering info and I am guessing somehow things need to go through them because I am only doing an escape/intimate VR and not a wishes. Some of the anticipated guests have been to disnay before and others have not ,so I would like to show them some of the extras you can do and make some special memories because it ,may be their only time there. Does that make sense?

Sure does!

I just wish I could offer more suggestions...there are really just so many options (golf, parasailing, segway tours, etc).

You might ask on the Theme Park Attractions and Strategies Board as well for even more input!

When we were planning our intimate wedding, we talked to our coordinator about an Illuminations Desert Party. It was possible, with some restrictions because of the few number of people in our party. Morocco was the main location that was available for less than 20 or so people. However, they will work with you on it with, so it is possible!

If you don't already have one planned, I would suggest a meal together with everyone. There are so many choice, such as something fun and exciting like Ohana's or a character meal, or something more quiet at Narcoosee's or the Yachtsman. We had dinner at the Yachtsman, and they created personalized menus for us(and took the prices off so that our guests didn't have to worry about them) and treated us really well.

Another thought would be an Illuminations or Wishes Cruise on the boats that they have. They will take food, drinks, etc out on the boat for you. There's so many choices!

Like hiwaygal said, Magical Gatherings(or your event planner) may be able to help you out. Our planner last year was full of good ideas I wouldn't have thought of. :)
