Hey

I'm sorry if this has been posted before we are thinking of planning an escape wedding as our numbers have dropped.

One of my big concerns is I've heard the DP locations are restricted for escape brides and the DP is one of the main reasons I want to get married in Disney.

I have my heart set on uk lochside but I don't know if I would be able to have that. There will be approx 16 of us

Thanks ladies

It's not the type of wedding you have that determines which locations are available, it's the size of your party. UK Lochside has a minimum of 20 guests.

Oh I see thank you for clearing it up for me.

Do you know what locations are available for a guest amount of approx 16?

Which ones have the best views?

Thank you

Andrea

For that number they'll probably offer you Morocco Oasis, Parisian Point, Kazbah Point, Vikings Landing and/or Canada Overlook. Since your heart is set on UK Lochside, you may want to ask about switching there if it doesn't get booked by a larger party. Usually you have to wait til about 30 days out to know whether it will be available, so you'd need to book a backup location.

Here's a post where I talk about what I think are the best views, along with photos.

I also have location photos of all these spots here: http://disneytravelbabble.com/disney-weddings/wdw-venue-photos/

Question: Can you have an escape wedding with 20 or less people but then do a dessert party with more people?? My mom seems to have told LOTS of people that there will potentially be a Disney wedding in the future (we're not even engaged yet) and she seemed pretty irritated when I mentioned that I was planning to keep the guest count under 20....She's thinking a compromise would be to "allow" or "invite" more people to the "other" events, explaining the restrictions for the actual wedding.

I don't really love the idea, but I also don't want to upset my mom....

I'm sort of assuming that as long as we meet the minimums and pay per person, Disney will probably be happy to take the money....

And of course, who knows if it will EVER happen anyway. Boyfriend sure seems to be dragging his feet after LOTS of hints in February so maybe he's changed his mind :confused3

Thanks for any information....
Brooke
