Ladies, I could use some help!

1. I'm having such a hard time deciding on a bouquet!! I'm wondering how flexible the florist is with our five choices?!? Can I add a different type of flower or omit one type?

2. Maybe you could give me some suggestions! My dress is ivory with champagne lace along the edges--it feels "vintage" to me. The only other color I've picked has been champangne for the tuxes. I think I have a color commitment problem :rotfl:

Thanks so much in advance!!!!!

I just talked to Rosie on Monday, who does most of the floral stuff and she seemed like they would do most anything within reason, for a bigger price of course.

I picked the Tussy Mussy bouquet because I liked the pearl inserts and the vintage look of it, but when I talked to Rosie I found out I could modify it for free. She said I could get either the freesia or the roses in any of the colors they came in. I'm going to have white roses, white stephanotis (this comes in no other color but white), and substitute the freesia for dark blue delphinium. I'm also getting the pearl inserts replaced with Mickeys.

There were definitely a lot more options than I thought!

I didn't pick any of their choices. I just said I wanted purple roses in a couple of shades and nothing else. They came back and said I could have lilac roses and a dark purple flower that looks similar to a rose but isn't. It sounded good to me so I went with it. No extra charge.

They were really flexible with me too- I was really happy with the way my flowers turned out. I was only charged extra for crystals that I added and they were really reasonable $1 each, and $3 for a hidden mickey!

I've heard of brides simply sending pictures over and requesting that 'look' to their flowers. You could always do that and if you don't want to spend any more money on the flowers drop that into the email, I'm sure if they can then they will. :thumbsup2

Good Luck!

Can I ask..do you all have pictures of what the escape bouquets look like? I've not seen any pictures of what we're offered.

Thank you so much, ladies! I was so excited to come home from work and read your responses!!!! I'm so glad to know they are flexible--with the flowers and my budget :woohoo:

Here's a description of the Bouquet "options" for Escape brides:
Hand Tied French Rose

Tussy Mussy
Tightly packed bouquet of Elegant holder with a fragrant freesia & stephanotis blooms with pearl inserts

I used to study the associated pictures that were on the old DFTW website, but now you can see similar pictures on the new website in the "design studio" section.

Thanks for all your ideas/suggestions! Keep them coming!

Having these for my Escape flowers (thank you by the way to whoever I stole these pics from I love them) No additional charge and having pearl mickeys in the Stephanotis also no charge.

I was also really concerned about this but Rosie is super flexible! I even asked her to add a few baby pine cones to honor a grandmother that had passed away and she made it happen for free! I got married in March and lets just say that is not really pine cone season but she didn't even hesitate! She also had a few large ones on the cake table for me.

I heard you can upgrade the bridal bouquet to your liking (of course for a fee)..here are a couple of bouquets that have a vintage feel...

Hope this helps...

Your best bet is to email Rosie pictures of things you like. She is extremely knowledgeable about ALLL the different flowers available. She will be able to tell you what is in the bouquets you've emailed her. She even emailed me back more pictures after our phone conference...she wanted to show me a couple other variations of the flowers I was looking at to make sure I knew exactly what I liked and didn't like.

Another great thing is she will be very honest with what works and want doesn't. I felt very comfortable telling her ideas I had made up in my head (not really knowing how they would look in person) because she immediately told me what wouldn't work very well...too big, too small, too busy, too modern (my dress is also champagne lace...vintage feeling)...etc. She understood my vision and was extremely helpful.

She has a million trillion pictures on her computer...once you tell her what you "like," ask her to email you some of her pictures. :thumbsup2

Rosie is the best. they can do anything. I'm having a modified french bouquet. All roses just different colors. For the bridesmaids I told her I wanted the rose wands and I told her their dress colors so she is designing them with multicolored ribbon wrapping to match the dresses and the flowers. Rosie is amazing, she is what a "cast member" should be.
