Error Message when trying to modify?

I wonder if this is some failed fix for stopping people from walking a reservation.
I doubt it. IMO, it's related to the borrowing restrictions. With all the permutations related to multiple memberships, transfers, cancelations, waitlists, etc. introducing the software to restrict borrowing probably caused unexpected problems. Happens when a "simple" change doesn't get properly vetted before going live.

Maybe. I am trying to add a day at the end of my stay and am getting the same error. I would have to borrow 21 points from a 50 point contract to do so.
 
This is stressing me out right now, there are two reservations I really want and I am getting the error!

Ugh. I'm on hold now. I hate not knowing if they are really "available" or not!

Update: After an hour on hold I was told this is a "known issue" and the room is not really available. I still see it. I had member services waitlist it for me and I will continue to try to book it on my own.

It seems that the real issue with modification is that there are rooms that show as available and are not abs ones that really are.

I could modify and drop a day a few days ago from a few fall trips but not today for January.

After MS got it done for me via chat, I checked the website and it showed my dropped date now but it wasn’t bookable.

I think the other day when I was able to modify it was because the rooms in my trip were still actually available and this why it went through.

That’s the most frustrating because the calendars are not accurate for us but MS has access to the real situation. Just wonder why they are not connected anymore.
 
I just booked the room that was “not available” through modification by booking it alone. I’ll link the reservations later.

SECONDARY UPDATE!

After sitting here for like an hour refreshing and continuing to try to book this reservation, it finally went through!! I can't wait to see the GF at Christmastime :)

(It's a slow day at work and yes I tried probably like 30x), but I'm so thrilled! Stubbornness pays off sometimes.

tl;dr - within an hour of member services telling me a glitched room was not available, I was able to book it myself. YMMV, but if you have time time... keep on trying!
 
It worked for me today too. It didn’t work to modify this morning, but it did finally work this afternoon.

I highly doubt it since they would do it the old fashion way by just calling member services which will just tie them up and making the hold times even longer.

It worked for me today too. It didn’t work to modify this morning, but it did finally work this afternoon.
Were you all finally able to modify or did you have too book as a new reservation?
 
I booked it as a new reservation. I was too afraid it would go away again if I had to go back in to try to modify. (2 nights GF studio the weekend before Christmas!)
This was the route I had to go for my feb trip but isn’t an option for my October trip as it has to be a modification or I would risk canceling and getting nothing. Kills me because the room I needed was showing available all day a couple days ago. Couldn’t risk losing sept 30-oct1 and having no room :(
 
I was able to modify a booking yesterday but I felt confident the room was truly available. It went through.
