Error Message when trying to modify?

I’m trying to modify a reservation booked at my home resort to another resort on the first day of my 7 month window. I’m getting a message “sorry the room you are trying to book is no longer available”. Is this a system issue or is the room really not available? The room continues to show as available though?
I’m currently booked Jambo 1/20-1/23/22. I’m trying to modify to BLT 1/19-1/22 or Poly 1/19-1/22, both showing as available.
 
I was also having problems this morning trying to book an available room at Riviera in November. After 90 minutes and getting one night of the 3 nights, I gave up. It repeatedly showed the room was available. Now it isn't there.
 
Or does my whole reservation have to fall within the 7 month window? So far, only 1 night falls within the 7 month window. It’s my first time trying to book at 7 months as a new member.

No, just the starting date. Were you a minute or two too early? Have you been trying since you posted? I hope it has gone through by now. Did you refresh?

Your first night must be within 7 months of today (1/19/2022). You can book up to 7 consecutive nights including the night of 1/19/2022. Given those parameters, you should have been able to switch to either BLT or Poly as long as all of the night you want are available.

ETA: If the problem persists, call MS and get them to book it.

I finally got it just now. I started trying around 7:15am. Is that too early?

I think there was definitely a site issue because at one point when I was trying to book, the booking calendar didn’t even show any points on the calendar. It was blank.

7:15 AM Eastern Time is too early. The booking window opens at 8:00 AM Eastern.

Glad you got it. Sorry about the issues, but seems pretty frequent.
Now you have done your first modify to non-home, you've earned your ears. Have a good trip!

Whenever you try to book home resort at exactly 11-months out from date of arrival, or other DVC resort exactly 7-months out from date of arrival, you cannot do the booking before 8 a.m. eastern. If trying to book on a day that is less than 11 or 7 months out from date of arrival, you can do it before 8 a.m. eastern, although the system is often down for maintenance in the early hours such as 1 to 5 a.m.

I am planning a 4 night stay but will book the first 3 nights at 11 months and modify to add the 4th night at 7 months. So even though the date I need to add wouldn't be quite 7 months yet I can book it 7 months out from the first night I booked at the 11 month mark? Thanks in advance!

Yes, the system allows it
 
I have been having this issue since yesterday morning. Tried multiple devices, browsers, incognito windows etc. Super frustrating!

ETA: my issue appears to be related to the glitch affecting borrowing from resale contracts.

I'm getting this error this morning when I tried to modify my reservation when the perfect room became available. I hope it's still there when I call MS. I made my initial reservation with borrowed resale and borrowed direct points.

Mine was made with direct and resale current UY points and five borrowed resale. That went smoothly, but not modifying with borrowed resale. Once I figured this out, modifying with borrowed direct worked fine online. Super crappy!

Called MS, luckily a 5 min wait. So it turn out my perfect room of 6 nights only had 2 nights available per MS, but I am still seeing 6 nights available online (from the calendar view) at this time of posting. So not sure what is going on the website. I'm getting the same error message when just allocating points between contracts on an existing reservation. MS was able to do my reallocation of points on the same phone call, but she had to do it three times on her end to make it work. She said it usually takes it the first time.

I hope it's just a one-off error with my profile, because call volume would increase if it's impacting more members.
 
I'm getting the same error on a modification below 7 months. I made the original reservation yesterday, and I am 99 percent sure my desired resort was unavailable. Today, almost the entire month of January is showing as available at that same, previously unavailable resort (AKV Kidani Standard Studio) but get an error. I then successfully modified it to a third resort, which I know had availability yesterday. I suspect days are shown as available that should not be.
 
We have been online with MS since shortly after 9am. We had cleared cookies, shut down/restarted etc. MS does not show nearly any open studios for Jan 2022 when we are seeing several resorts for our time period. She has submitted a request to IT to see why the booking tool is showing more rooms than MS. She went into another system as a member and saw the rooms we saw and started taking screen shots. Maybe some day this will be worked out. Until then, my DH has a bruised head from banging in on the iPad and blisters from the refresh on the mouse.
 
I’m not sure if my problem is similar, but I’m trying to modify my reservation in January to shorten my stay, but the system keeps telling me no rooms are available. I already have a reservation, so a room is available. I had no issues modifying it last week, so it must be an IT issue.
 
I got the error as well. Happened well after 8am eastern. had to call member services to get the change made. She thought it was a browser issue, to clear cookies or go incognito
 
I’m also getting the error while trying to book one night before our stay in a different resort. :snooty:
