How many other Fl. residents are out there watching the weather channel 10 to the hour, every hour???

We're here in Tampa Bay which had a grim outlook Sunday based on Ernesto's track. Now it's Monday and we are on the far west side on the "cone of error!" But as we all know...things can change in a momenst notice!

Let's hope it travels EAST=> and heads out into the Atlantic!

But it is coming this way, so I think we are thinking MORE east......way MORE.

I don't watch the news hourly, just for about 20 minutes at every new update (so once every 3 hours).

I'm breaking now. I'll break (it's too hot for securing the yard) until the next update at 2:00. Then I still have much more to do, I don't own a garage, only a carport, so my securing is along way off. I still need to hit the bank and gas station too.

You should probably hit the road now and get done what you need, as soon as everyone gets off of work they will be doing the same thing. Although right now it looks like it may just be a tropical storm, I don't have a garage either and yesterday I put most of my stuff into my shed or in somewhat secure corners. But people will be out getting money and gas just in case the power goes out for awhile, it doesn't take much down here. I did the whole routine yesterday morning while everyone was probably still sleeping, but from what I hear the places were getting really busy later in the day, sorry to hear it is heading your way, but I know what you are feeling, I was feeling it yesterday. I also live in Florida, Port St Lucie to be exact, which was pretty much where the eye of Frances and Jeanne hit. I am at work now watching the updates on the computer. Our schools have early out tomorrow and are closed on Wednesday. I just hope that it keeps heading east out to the ocean and that it does not pick up speed. I am in the citrus industry and we do not need any more damage.
