We headed to MK for our first MVMCP. We had to hurry since we had like 30 minutes to get to LTT for our 6:15 PS. We arrived just in time and had a bit of a wait. Ugh! DS wanted to crawl again. Sorry, Babe, not a good area for crawling. DD had to run up to the bathroom a couple of times, but I think she just liked looking over the balcony. We were seated and ordered drinks. I got some kind of frozen orange drink that was next to impossible to suck through a straw, but the flavor was very good. DS LOVED everything. DH liked the meats and the mashed potatoes. I liked the Stove Top and the turkey. DD liked NOTHING!!! She even went to the bathroom (either to look off the balcony or to spit food out, maybe both). Its no wonder this child does not have an OUNCE of fat on her body. Character interaction was great as always- service was so-so. I almost didn't get my souvenir mug- waiter did not realize I would want it. He brought me back a clean, wrapped one. I love mugs and souvenir cups- a touch of Disney at home.
The lines were already long for pictures. We headed over to BTMRR. DD had decided she would try riding it for the first time. I took DS over to the playground outside Splash Mountain for some playtime. DD had never ridden a real big coaster so I was kind of worried about how she would react. She loved it. While DS and I were waiting for him, a lady mistook him for a girl. (Months before we came, we had decided DS would get his first haircut at the MK barbershop. My mother had begged us before we left not to cut his pretty hair and I was kind of thinking I might not be able to go through with it. Though his hair was not that long yet, it was long enough to curl, thanks to DH's genes.) This decided it- DS would get a haircut, after all.
We headed over to Tomorrowland and saw COP. We all loved it, especially DS who seemed to enjoy the music. DD was suddenly very brave with coasters and decided she wanted to ride Space Mountain. I thought that would be good because DS could crawl in that long hall after the exit. However, the CM would not let me take DS up. I tried to explain that I was just trying to get to that hallway where DS could crawl. He was getting tired of not being able to get down. PLEASE DON'T FLAME ME, I know they have their rules to go by. But like the CM loading was going to allow me to sneak a baby on a ride; I could see if it was a child who almost reached the height limit and had to be checked outside. But come on, would I really try to sneak a baby on to SM and would a CM really mistake him for being big enough to ride the ride? I work for the state so I understand inflexible rules, but it really got on my nerves since I wasn't asking for myself, but for my child. I thought about going to the Baby Center thinking that might be a good place to let him down, but I hated to walk all that way when I was just trying to let him down for a few minutes while DH and DD rode SM.
DD LOVED the ride
. DH, who loves coasters, was ecstatic that he now has someone to ride coasters with. I am a big chicken- that's how I knew about the area to sit and wait if you don't want to ride SM.
We headed over to Buzz and rode that a couple of times. We got a great picture of DD and DS with the Emperor Zurg statue-thing. We decided to brave the long lines and get our picture taken. We ended up at the photo line at IASW. It moved quicker than I thought it would. We decided to see Mickey's Philharmagic since we had not done that yet. OMG, it was so good. That is definitely the best 3-D movie ever. We were all impressed, even the babe enjoyed it. We then got free cookies, which the babe also enjoyed, and cocoa at Columbia Harbor House and then headed over to HM again.
It was getting late so we headed over to POC for our last pirate fix for the night. We had to be at EPCOT in the morning for EMH so we needed to head home. We rode the boat to our new home for the next 4 nights- WL. We enjoyed the change in transportation, after having ridden busses for the past three days (but, as I have said, the busses were great at AKL).
I was a LITTLE bit disappointed in the WL after being at AKL, but it grew on me in a couple of days. WL was not quite as pristene as AKL since AKL is newer, but the CMs were awesome (great at both places, but I would give a slight edge to the WL CMs). Another great day today and ready for another great one tomorrow.
Coming up....
EPCOT, PSB, MK, and a surprise for DH, DD, and DS
