Hi everyone. Here is the beginning of my trip report. I want to apologize up front for it being so long and wordy. I tried so hard to keep it shorter, but it never seems to work. I am starting with my who's who and my arrival day. If you don't like long reports you might want to skip this one LOL.

Day 1, Arrival day, Saturday August 25th
We knew going in, this day was pretty much shot, as we were not arriving until 7:05 PM. We boarded our plane, which (thank goodness) departed on time. This flight was pretty bumpy, captain turned the seat belt sign back on a couple of time, and we had to take a slight detour to go around a thunderstorm somewhere. Our flight left at 3, and landed at 7, yet they considered this only a snack flight. So we ate some snacks, but we knew we were going to be hungry when we landed. We finally landed about 15 minutes late, due to the storms. We grabbed our luggage and headed to our first experience on the Emerald Aisle. We were glad we did this though, as the lines for all the rental car companies were quite long. When we got out there, the pickings were pretty slim. There was a PT Cruiser, but the doors were locked and it had no keys. We then grabbed a Pontiac Grand Prix, and pulled to the booth. The woman comes to the window and says "this car is damaged, if it's not in the computer, I want you to get another one". Of course, it was not in the computer, and we were not sure why she couldn't put it into the computer, but we had to put it in reverse, and go get another car. Not much left, so we had to grab a Chevy Malibu. Not a great choice, but about the only one left. Finally we were headed to the hotel. We saw the lasers from Fantasmic as we neared the Yacht Club. My dd got mad that she was missing it LOL. I explained to her we had 7 more nights to see it. Then we checked in at the Yacht Club and put our stuff in the room. We had shipped a box UPS, with a cooler and some snacks and cereal. I asked at the desk and they said any boxes should be in our room already. We were assigned room 2152, had a full balcony and looked out on the wedding gazebo. It was also a short walk from the lobby. We were pleased. However, there was no box from UPS there. We then tried bell services, they said go to the giftshop, since it was delivered UPS. We thought this was very odd, but tried it anyway. He said, nope, go to the front desk. Back to the front desk. She then tries to call the shipping area, and says, they are closed, you'll have to check with them tomorrow. JiffyJenn had also dropped of some bottled water for me, and this time they were able to find that. We then headed out to the Boardwalk to find some food, as it was now after 9:30 and we were starved. We heard some fireworks from Illuminations, and again my dd got made because she thought she was missing it LOL. It was EXTREMELY humid this night. We picked up some pizza at the Boardwalk Pizza window for us, a hot dog for ds and a box of popcorn for ds. I don't like eating things so heavy so late, but we had no choice tonight. I thought the pizza was great. We were going to get some milk for our cereal at the Boardwalk, but since we had no cooler, we just grabbed a couple of juice boxes for the kids to drink before bed. We picked up new autograph books too. I also stopped for a quick glance at the pin cart, and found about a dozen pins I thought I must have before we left for home LOL. We then made our sweaty stroll back the the YC and unpacked and went to bed. I wanted to get as ready as possible for our trip the MK in the morning, but we ran out of time. By the time we got to bed it was after 11.
