Terrible day. Just got home. The only way to end the day, I think, is with a glass of wine filled WAY past the polite half-way mark.

I just had a glass of my second favorite cheap chardonnay......Concha y Toro by Fronterra. Our favorite is a white Zinfandel by Beringer, but we are out of that so the Concha had to do. My glass was filled way past the polite half way point not once, but twice!!!

A rare venture in the the world of white wines here: savignon blanc by Kendall Jackson. Well past the polite line in a glass etched with Mickey heads! One of my friends once told me that there is something wrong about drinking alcohol from something with Mickey on it. Fortunately I do not have his hang ups! LOL

Me too! But I don't like Shiraz. I'm having ...Chameleon Charbono.

Chameleon is the label (w/ a chameleon on it)

Charbono is the grape variety

Yummy....little like a merlot/cab

Friends were here to watch Survivor and the debate. Though I am usually a Merlot or Pinot Noir girl, we are having Chardonnay (Kendall Jackson) and a Pinot Grigio.

Not a bad day today, but enjoying the wine anyway....

Oh good...I'm glad I'm not alone. Mine was an Austrailian Shiraz, not great, but passable. My friend brought over take-out from Macaroni Grill (Balsamic-Honey Glazed Chicken, yum!) and we pretended like we were going to watch the debate, but we gossiped instead. The day definitely got better!

Haven't tried the Screw Kappa Napa, but it sounds interesting...I'll go check that thread next.
