Eragon?

A lot of people said that the movie was bad. I thought it was pretty good, but maybe because I was stairing at Garret Hedlund the entire time...



Did anyone else see it?

i haven't seen it, nor do I intend to.
It looks bad to me because I found the book ridiculous. I read one page of it, and every sentence through me into giggle fits because it was so .. I don't know. Ridiculous.
But, to each their own.

I really liked both books, but the movie wasn't true to it at all. I'm a Harry Potter fan too, so I knew they wouldn't get everything right, but they left out main characters and places. Even the order in which things happened was different. It was a good movie, but if you're looking for an exact replica of the book, make your own version.

You really can't expect the movie to be as good as the book.
I actually liked both, because I went in expecting less.

There are some important characters they have to introduce in the second movie, if they make one. That would be interesting to see though.

I actually laughed out loud at that, so it seemed essential to use one of these smile-y guys. THe kid who plays Eragon is quite pretty, but Garrett Hedlund aka Murtagh is my boyfriend now. (he just doesn't know it, but that's just a minor detail)

I just started the first book and I have to say it's pretty good.
