ER watchers...do you think the storyline of

Donald Cheadle's character is believable? Come on, a med student with advanced Parkinson's disease? We are supposed to believe that someone who routinely can't change an IV bag or get up off a bench on his own is doing a surgical rotation? I can't fathom any hospital IRL opening itself up to the liability/malpractice suits that would be sure to follow. Comments?

I agree it is a bit out there. However, I can count on one hand the number of times I have seen doctors hanging IV bags. The only ones I know even know how to set up the tubing are anesthesiologists and they have nurse anesthetists and techs to help them! Lots of stuff on this show is far flung. When have you ever seen doctors routinely push a patient on a cart???? Nah, not in the real world.

But is this doctor performing surgery? That's interesting and clearly, I haven't watched ER in a while!

We still watch but, some of the stuff the Dr's do there is a bit far I agree. I used to work EMS and I never saw a Dr go to the ambulance outside to wait for or greet the incoming patients.

Maybe he kept it secret for a long time, until he got this far and now it's getting worse so he can't hide it any longer. I don't particularly care for this character though, so won't miss him when he's gone. I see Sally Field is coming back next week for her recuring role, that ought to be good....and it looks like Abby's brother is showing signs of the illness their mother has. I still miss Mark Greene though...I saw the episode where he dies again a couple weeks ago, cried again too...so sad....
