Just wanted to post an update over here. I know a thread was started the day our Supreme Court ruled in favor of SSM, but today was officially the first day after the ruling that marriage licenses could be issued for SSM. Over 360 couples applied today !! 
I am so happy to hear these families stories and see the love, joy and smiles. I know at least one, maybe two got the three-day wait waived for medical issues pertaining to unborn children too.
While I am a transplant to Iowa, I am proud to call Iowa home at this point. I only hope more states will follow suit. If anyone wants any specific info, let me know and I will try to find answers for you.
