Episode 7: The doors open, but nobody moves.

I just read all seven installments and am now going to be late for work, but they were worth it. We leave tomorrow and your stories have put in exactly the right frame of mind. Thanks so much! Oh, and the Boston driver...you left out the part about not making eye contact, but if it should happen...STARE THEM DOWN!!!!

Another great report! Tears fill my eyes when you talk about your father and the oh so very nice street sweeper.

I'm going to be sad when your vacation is over and there aren't any more reports to look forward to. ;) Another great one. Thanks joe. :)

Yay Joe!!

I'm way behind on my reading. Logged on to catch the last two installments all at once. What a treat! More great writing.

As I read your adventures about a dad with his young kids, I get misty eyes for those days with my own daughters when they were little and we experienced all that magic at WDW as only toddlers and young ones can. I kinda wish that mine were that age again.....and then poof - your excellent writing skills conjure up the smell of poop and I think.....been there - done that! (The neat thing is that you will have so much to look forward to in experiencing WDW in a whole new way when your kids are older, and that too I envy.)

I gotta presume your printing off multiple copies of your reports for your kids and keeping electronic versions safe in a vault somewhere. Though they likely couldn't appreciate it now, one day, when Dad presents his compliation of 2001 trip reports to his lucky adult kids, I'll bet THAT will be a Disney moment to rival the trip itself!

Keep writing, cause we're waiting!

Thanks Joe, another great report. Hmmm, the boys were not interested in Alice or Mary, they like the rough and tumble characters.. and how about that making it to the ice cream parlor just before the doors closed.. The Gods were shining down on you that night.. Thanks for the fun..

Another great segment. I too know that feeling - the vacation is half over - we aren't going to see everything. Thanks for posting!

Somehow I missed reading this episode before, so I'll bump it up with episode 8. :D What fun it sounded like when you were taking the photos on Main Street at the end of the day! :)

Another great day entertainingly described. Thanks for taking the time to post this.
