Epic when raining

How is Epic on days when it rains most of the day. In the past, that would be a day I do universal studios since most things are indoors, but I got the date specific tickets when they first went on sale and now have concerns about what if it rains in the days I have tickets for.

Here’s some feedback from a couple of weeks ago. Not really many surprises, except that it sounds like the carousel has stayed open through storms.

yeah - many of the rides shut down for rain. Also if there is a lightning strike within a certain range of the park - like 6 or 10 miles - IDK

Even the carousel has shut down for lightning strikes as I understand it.

One article from the Motley Food looking at this from the investment side said " Just 4 of the 11 rides remain open during a weather delay" - this was a lightning strike situation.

This could easily be an hour every day in Florida - If ministry had a standby queue that might help a little as a lot of people would be waiting in that line or just get into it since things are closed.

One other issue is some of the queues don't have enough cover - for example Donkey Kong - when the line is long and you wait in the rain there is no cover - although it will be delayed in the rain as well. I waited in this 2.5 hours one morning and an hour of it was just in the rain uncovered.

This past Tuesday, there was a storm for about an hour. I took refuge in the portal at Darkmoore. It was a great opportunity to have a dark, rainy cloud over a dark themed land.

The portals aren't large enough to provide cover for the masses, but it did work. As the rain became more horizontal, guests squeezed In a little closer to the center. It was a fantastic breeze tunnel to cool off!

Constellation Carousel was operating, but there was rain coming in from the sides. There were a couple of perimeter spots to sit if not in the queue, but didn't provide protection from the rain.

For whatever strange reason, there is nowhere to sit under shade and/or the elements.

This would be a perfect spot to put at least a dozen or more benches for those wanting to escape the rain or just watch the carousel. A missed opportunity that can be easily, and inexpensively, remedied.
