Idk if I would upgrade....yes I just said that...actually thinking of dropping cl for January....for our summer trip we will do cl.but the 500 bucks...that's a lot of grey goose slushies LOL

Yeah, we've decided to leave the YC portion as it is. No CL. We are going to try to arrange our TS meals around that part of the stay in order to be able to utilize CL while at the Poly.

Especially since the YC garden view rooms are now completely sold out for my entire trip, even at rack rate....I am not giving that up!!!

I just have to point out that it has been since 8/27/12 that I have changed resorts...this has to be some kind of record for me...

I haven't dropped our BWI CL....I was looking again at CR, all booked..so THAT is out! DS11 LOVES DHS and Epcot, so this will be good for us....for summer...WL is still our frontrunner

It's easy to get freaked...especially for us

That's why I am hesitant to move to he MK side for January...Poly, CR, GF ALL with construction We'll only be a bus ride away from te RCers

This is what I have come up with thus far!

4/18 - Arrive at Yacht Club - Our flight does not land at MCO until 8:30 pm, so we'll probably be at the resort around 9:30 pm and will just explore a bit and go to bed.

4/19 - Magic Kingdom in the morning
Pool time in the afternoon
Epcot in the evening

4/20 - Hollywood Studios during the Day
Yachtsman Steakhouse for dinner
Explore the Boardwalk at night

4/21 - Animal Kingdom in the morning
Pool Time
Magic Kingdom in the evening
Hopefully Be Our Guest ressies tonight!!!

4/22 - Epcot Morning
Lunch at ESPN Club (for DH)
Pool time
Hollywood Studios in the evening

4/23 - Pack up our stuff - hand it over to bell services to be transferred to the Poly!!!
Go to Epcot for the morning and then monorail over to the Poly to check in in the afternoon.
Hang in the CL lounge until Magic Kingdom that night

4/24 - Resort day at the Poly
Sleep in, do some pool time, Lunch at Kona
Then at night, we will drop off the kids at the Neverland Club while we head to Tutto Gusto at Epcot for date night

4/25 - Animal Kingdom in the morning
Will try to get Tusker House ressies
Pool time
Magic Kingdom night

4/26 - Hollywood Studios morning
Pool
Epcot evening

4/27 - Magic Kingdom day

4/28 - Last day
We will let the girls pick where we go so they can do their faves again.
Our flight doesn't leave until 9:30, so ME will pick us up around 6:30

Thanks Jeanette! I am most excited about not having a million ADR's to run around to. One meal that is not on there though is Ohana, and the girls really want to do it again....I was just trying to keep TS meals to a minimum while staying CL, but I may add it in for the last night....it is DD8's birthday trip after all...DH would not disagree to Ohana I'm sure!

I have 28 more days to figure it out before our 180 day ADR day!!!

I have decided, however, that I am not doing Kona. I was going to do lunch but I'm not as thrilled with their lunch menu as their dinner menu, and I don't want to commit to another dinner during Poly time.

I thought about trying that burger from Grand Floridian Cafe....with the lobster, but not wanting it so much as to make an ADR. If the mood strikes us while there, I will see if there is availability, and if not, oh well!!

Honestly, I am ok with it. I never really dreamed that we would be able to take our kids as much as we have. But, we have bounced the idea around of selling our house and relocating. DH has a long commute every day to work and we aren't particularly thrilled with our school district. So, within the next 2-2.5 years, we will either be moving or putting our DDs into private school, so either way, we need to be saving more.

I figure we'll be able to get back by 2015 though...when our oldest DD will be considered a Disney adult.

That's alright, this April trip is going to be EPIC!!!!

I know!! It sucks!! But at the same time, we know its for good reason, and that when we book again we'll be soooooo ready and excited!!

jenny you know I was feeling guilty too about all the trips our girls have had.... In that respect, I think the break will be good for them too....

But enough about that!!

I loved your story of your relationship with DH... it's very romantic...

Well, not only was it worth it, but we were hooked. I swear that Disney has WL and AKL well-positioned in their pricing tier to their "gateway resorts"...you know...equivalent to how marijuana is considered to be a gateway drug. The WL and AKL are priced much more reasonably for deluxes, so if you are on the fence about staying deluxe, you might be more apt to try one of these resorts. Well, of course, Disney knows what they are doing and they make these resorts so fabulous that you can't consider ever going back. I guess we have suckers written on our foreheads but it's definitely deluxe resorts for us for the foreseeable future. Darn Disney!

This made me laugh so much because it is so true... DH and I met in college and the first time we went to WDW in college we stayed off property... at some point we stayed at Port Orleans...we loved it... then DH had to go to several conferences at the Boardwalk and I took DD with me and we went to parks while he worked...hehe... (we could never have afforded to stay there) but then we discovered the WL and the slow but steady Resort upgrade... WL , then the AK ...we tried the Poly... and we just bought 80 DVC points at the Beach Club... so yes I totally agree with the WL and AKL are gateway resorts ... although they really are awesome in their own right...

My youngest, my son just turned 10 so he is now an official Disney Adult...

So last night, DH says....now that we are doing CL at both resorts, why do we need to switch resorts????

I asked him which one he would pick and he says Poly.

Ugh, here we go again....

Thoughts???? 10 nights Poly CL or 10 nights YC CL???

You obviously need to do what is best for your family, but I really think you guys should try the Yacht club. it is so beautiful and so different from the poly it would give you guys almost 2 separate vacations in one. I really think the girls and will love Stormalong bay!
