Is it possible to take it in the box with the prescription on it? I realize it will take up more space, but my answer depends on this question. I was told to carry 2 all the time, but that actually makes 4 (2 family members, one a junior).

Epi-Pens themselves don't have pharmacy labels, which would cause you a problem. The box has the label. In addition, she's bringing 2 or 4 of them... Might need to be declared to the TSA agent at the security screening (because of the fit in a quart baggie), and that always goes better with a label.
If she doesn't have the label on the box, I wonder if she could explain the situation to her pharmacist and get reprinted labels for each pen?
