Ok, there was a long line for this last week, but my patient DH said "relax and wait" (I have no patience for lines:) They take large sections at a time, so it wasn't as long as it looked!

I'm so glad we did. The kids and I loved this. We didn't know what it was really going to be, so it was a nice surprise. Crush interacts with the audience, and the technology is the best. Don't skip this.

We had 2 "cool" 13 year olds with us, DD and her friend, and they both loved this. We went in April and when someone mentions EPCOT that's the first thing they tell about. :thumbsup2

I agree! I had always avoided it because of the lines and I thought it was just another movie. Boy was I wrong! It is a must do when visiting Epcot.

I have never seen this and am really looking forward to it. One month from today and I will be in Disney! Yea!!!

Turtle Talk is one of the best surprises given by the Imagineers in a long time.
An excellent interaction between guests and animation. It is always changing, so each show is different.
This is one event I am going to make sure I get to see each time I am at Epcot.

:woohoo: :thumbsup2

Is there a fast pass for this please?
Can we do soaring first thing then go to this ?

how long is show please ?

This is good to know! I thought this attraction was sort of equel to the Pocahontas singing attraction at the AK! Embarrassing for pre-teens. We will now try it and hopefully I will not be ridiculed by my 13 DD!

My DD6 loved this! We didn't do it in Jan. (Oh my goodness, the line was sooo long) :sad2: but we did it in Sept. 05. She was dressed as Aurora-he called her Princess-, the room was about half empty and she was one of only a few kids there so Crush talked to all the kids directly. Her question was "how many fish are in the sea?" He said Ohh-that's kinda like asking how many people are in the world. It was funny.

We have it now here at DL but haven't gone since it opened. We're planning on getting our AP in the next week or so and seeing it here. The lines should be pretty short since DL isn't crowded (like the summer) yet. :cool1:

This attraction was closed last time we were there. We're so excited about trying it on our next trip. Can't wait.

We came upon it by accident back in Nov. 2004. It was awesome and can't wait to do it again. Our DS4 loved it. I tell everyone about it to make sure they don't miss it.

It's really great to hear such rave reviews! My DD loves FInding Nemo and I was wondering if taking her to this would be worth the wait for all of us! :)

We went to see it twice on our trip last summer. The CM at the door told my DS to be ready with a question for Crush because when he opened it to questions and called on you, if you didn't have a question ready right away, he'd skip to the next kid.

When Crush opened to questions my son's hand shot up and he got called on. The two of them had a really cute back and forth conversation that continued throughout the remainder of the show.

If you're going to go to this show, I definitely recommend you try to prepare the kids a bit...it made all the difference in the world.

I wonder if some kid asked Crush, "Hey, aren't you just a computer-generated image?"

We were planning on skipping this one because it is just DH, DS(13.5), and myself and I figured DS would not enjoy it. Do you think we should give it a try. We went to the Stitch attraction for the first time last Aug. because my 49 year old brother was with us and wanted to see it. LOL! We thought it was ok, but would not wait in line again to see that. Is TTwC better and do you think a 13.5 year old boy would like it? Thanks! :sunny:

one kid asked crush "do you taste like chicken?"!!!!

everyone was lol

crush was like dude wow you cought me off gaurd i never tasted chicken!

he said to ask bruce the shark that fish are friends not food !

loved it

I guess that depends on how your son is. We went when it was just one room, and I think it was in a "beta" version if you will. I 21 at the time and he was 23. Just the two of us. We had NO clue what it was. I figured we had plenty of time, so lets just check it out. There was about 8 kids in the group that entered to the show. They were 2nd grade and down, they had the kids sit in the front of the group the older kids just sat back with the adults. and then we waited infront of the 'oceanic screen'. Crush came out and interacted with the kids, and had the questions and stuff. I thought it was fun to watch. I was amazed at how smooth the technology was for Crush to watch and interact with everyone. And to me it was a bit of my first Disney magic to see the kids just be shocked/amazed. (kinda like the first time they see Mickey) We don't have any children ourselfs, but it made me feel warm inside. Plus Crush taught us a bunch of neat facts.

I guarantee you he would have a comeback line. The guy (or guys) that do this have great improvisational skills.

My son was 13 1/2 when we went in 2004. DD was 16. They both LOVED it (as did their mom :rotfl2: ) I think you should try it. It really doesn't take that much time and if he REALLY hates it, you can just leave before it's over. There are doors in the back of the room and you could just walk out if you needed too but I'd be willing to bet that your son would enjoy it! Best of luck!!!

has anyone ever seen the "chicken man" website? I suspect this is the same technology (keywords). Anyway, the site (I don't know the link sorry) is really fun. You type what you want him to do and he does it (it is clean for children, my friend typed strip, and he shakes his head no and points at you ha ha)
