Epcot's Showcase Table-Service Restaurants

Got this email from DizNews...has anyone else seen this?

Due to the ever-growing popularity of WDW's "Disney Dining
Plan", table-service restaurants at Epcot's World Showcase will now
be exclusively "by reservation only". All reservations must be made
at least one week in advance, and will require a credit card
number. Your card will be charged $10/person for any reservation
not cancelled prior to one week in advance.​

So what if we already made our reservations for Epcot restaurants before the free dining was posted. I doubt they would contact us to apply a credit card number to our reservations.

I just asked a CM who does reservations and they haven't been told anything like that... could be an April Fools Day joke, but I kinda wish it would happen There are too many people making multiple reservations 'just in case' and others can't get in.

Don't think it's an April Fools joke. I made reservations for a table service restaurant in Epcot on Thursday and was not asked for a credit card to hold the reservation. I do believe it is something that will be going into effect in the very near future. I personally am not thrilled about it...especially the part about cancelling one week before your reservation or charged $10 per person. Not sure what the reason is behind this reservation change!

It's an April Fool's joke, folks! Read the other two messages that came with it (equally silly, so it's easy to see the clues that it's a joke) and see the bottom of the news where it's mentioned that it was good news for today - today being April Fool's Day!
