Epcot's Masquerade ending

Per WDWMagic.com, the very unique and entertaining shows of Masquerade will end in April. They are one of my very favorite attractions in all of WDW. Their costumes, their demeanor, the music. You either like them or can't stand them, LOL. I have lots of pictures on the DIS of them, but I guess those threads are gone. Here is a link with some pictures I found through Google. I'm with you Dan. I thought the Masquarade was wonderful. I was sad to hear it's leaving, but hopefully though something nice will replace it though. I'm just glad I was able to get a lot of good pics of the show on my last trip.

I wonder if they are replacing them with anything. I doubt it. We have lost so much of the fine entertainment at Epcot.

So sad to hear Masquerade is leaving. MY DD's really enjoyed that, as well as, ToN when it was alive and kicking! Not much to look forward to in EPCOT! Here's a couple of pictures from a recent trip...

Oh, I was always strangely fascinated by them!!!!! Part of me was always a little "unsetteld" when they were around, but yet I was always drawn to their performances!

Too bad.

Sad to see it go for those of you who love it, but now I'm relieved that I can walk through there and not run by. I don't know why, but I just couldn't watch them or be in that area when they were out.

Hope they will replace it with something.

Oh please, don't tell my dd....she was veru upset that they took TOD away, now they take masquerade?

She's going to be heartbroken, this kid can just sit there and watch , and she absolutely loves the music, she made us buy the Andrea Bocceli CD with "Time to say goodbye"

This is so sad. I got to see this show for the first time last November. I was watching it with Yepod and his DW and DD Emily. Emily had the most fascinating interaction with the people. They stared eye to eye forever! It was such a joy to watch! I'll have to get John to post some pictures from that day.

I had to go and find the whole song as a duet. I honestly have to say, that more than once I have sat with tears, just watching them, listening. ALWAYS a highlight of every trip to WDW. Actually, I have tears now, knowing they won't be there when I return, and a fitting song playing in the background.

How sad! I loved this show and would try and catch it at least once a night while I was there. Since they have taken away the parade there isn't much for me to do at Epcot anymore. They've taken away so much that I enjoyed there. Motion and the old Imagination were my favorites. What is there to do there besides thrill rides that I have no interest in at all? It used to be that Disney World was a FAMILY resort. Now it seems that it is geared to the younger people in their 20's and nothing at all for people in the 50's and older.

Oh No! We caught the very end of the show in Dec. and loved the wee bit we saw! It was on the top of our "Things To Do" list for our trip in June. Now I'm down.

While I LOVE that music (I have the CD), I am one of those who thought Masquerades was creepy...we watched it back in October and I thought..." Uh-huh.....weird...." But I do hope they replace it with something that will capture someone else's liking---I hate it when they yank something and don't replace it with ANYTHING!

Sorry Dan and others, but those things just freaked me out!!!! I don't like masks of any kind - especially worn by people who don't talk! If we were ever near Italy when they came out I would run the other way!

Sorry to hear for those whoe liked them, but I can breathe a little easier walking by Italy now.
