Epcot's Kringla Bakeri

I thought I remembered Kringla serving sandwiches, but when I just looked at their menu it's just desserts. Did they used to serve sandwiches? If so, have they permanently changed to just desserts?

Yes they used to have 3 or 4 different sandwiches. I just checked the menu. What a disappointment!

Yes they served sandwiches. We ate meals there even as late as Nov 2019. ( I believe we did that trip)

We used to order one sandwich and split it. It was a delicious, economic lunch. Most recently, the giant pretzels covered in almond glaze and sliced almonds have shrunk, but at least you can still get it. I do miss those sandwiches!

Thanks, everyone. Hopefully it's temporary and the sandwiches will come back! I do look forward to trying some of the desserts on my next trip, though!

Sounds like Disney's "threat" (was it Chapek who said it?) of having smaller meals has come through, in some cases.

I have never eaten there but from what I have heard on either DFB or All Ears (can't remember which) the savory options did not return upon the reopening after COVID. My guess would be staffing and / or supply chain issues have them keeping the menu more limited. Hopefully it will be back to normal soon.
