EPCOT-WORLD SHOWCASE, to the left or to the right?

Another vote to the left! I wonder if people who read Hebrew (which is written from right to left) would start at Canada? :teeth:

Anyway, I still remember my first trip to Epcot the year it opened. We started in Mexico. I remember my awe when I walked into that moonlit courtyard. I think whenever we go back to WDW, I continue to want that to be my first experience in WS.

We always go from the right- (Canada to Mexico) Just always done it that way, I think it is because my parents always ate lunch in The Land, so we just drifted that way towards Canada. Interesting...:scratchin

AAAGGGHHHH.....I just noticed my timer.....YES!!! Single Digits

:jumping1: :jumping1:

We've always started in Canada. This time we have a PS @ Le Cellier, so we'll probably start with Mexico and work our way around.

I have always gone to the right, skipped Canada and went straight for England....LOL DH is from England, both times i have been it has never been crowded over to the right....it only starts really picking up when we get to Norway!

Wow! I don't remember how we went when I was a child. Our family is going in May and I guess we will start on the right! LOL

Why does it seem the decision is based on beverage of choice? My wife likes a pint early. Maybe I'll try to get her the margarita first this year. Either way I end up having to help her out of the park. It's all that wine in Italy and France that do it to her.

We do both! We always make multiple visits to WS every trip (we love it there) so we usually start at one side the first visit then start at the other side the next visit. We never make it all the way around in one visit, but by the time the trip's over we've spent a good amount of time in each country.

We find that it does change our perspective of a country when we see it early on compared to when we see it after visiting other countries first. Maybe it's because our brains can only absorb so much detail at a time - or maybe it has something to do with those wonderful WS drinks! ;)

Left for me. This goes back to my younger days when we would "drink around the world". We would start with a Margarita in Mexico then work our way around (lingering a bit longer in Germany than other places) then end up with a pint at the pub while we watched Illuminations.

Now that I have kids we always go left and hit the boat ride in Mexico and Maelstrom in Norway then walk to AA and hop on the Friendship launch for the ride back.

If I come in the main gate then I would go to Mexico but that is because Mexico is my favorite pavillion. usually I enter through international gateway. then it is 50 50 which way I go.
Last year we came in that way and headed into UK, I on my scooter and were promptly surrounded by the soldier guards there, they were all around me, next thing my husband starts marching around and they follow him, but when he came back to me they came again and were around me, next thing I know, I hear a very loud commanding "attention, about face, March" and it was MY HUSBAND they marched off to the sidewalk. the crowd went wild, he got lots of High fives and Semper fi's
I think If I live to be a hundred I will always remember that

We also have always gone to Mexico 1st. It/s one of my DD's favorite pavillion.

We have always gone right. Right to Canada, the U.K., etc. This year, we are staying at The Beach Club, and using the International Gateway, we'll start in France and move to Morocco, etc.

Just got back 2 days ago. We went to Mexico First, then France and skipped back and forth (chasing Belle, etc.) Have to have a Margarita for lunch!!!!

This is very interesting to read everyone's logic to the WS. The past 2 trips we've gone right. Our reason is that DD needs to see Jasmine in Morocco. But I think without that factor, I'd probably go left. If DH and I ever get our solo trip, I will definitely go left to get that margarita.

We've always gone left to Mexico first. But this time. I was planning to go right so that we could hopefully get to the outdoor eating place in Mexico for snacks and Illuminations!:D

Mexico is one of my favorite Pavilions so if I'm there at open I head left. I love having an early lunch "at night".:D

We have always started at Canada - no clue why - we just do. However, NEXT week (yippee!!) we'll be staying at the Dolphin. Now we've got that tough decision to make from a different entry point! Oh my, such problems....tee hee.

We check out the tip board and see what the lines are like at Mexico and Norway. If they are short, we start there, otherwise Canada.

Every year we start at the left and work our way around the WS. I feel it's natural for us to do this because it "clockwise" around the WS. One year we started in Canada because we were having dinner at LeCellier and it just didn't feel correct to, I just felt backwards. So....this year we will start at the left as normal.:)
