Epcot - World showcase passport

I have heard bits and pieces in the past...

does anybody know if there is such a thing where children get a passport and then have it stamped in each country they visit in the World Showcase at Epcot?

I've read that it costs $10 and is readily available everywhere in the World Showcase, but I'd welcome any more info on it and stories if anyone's got them to share

I was thinking before that I'd skip out on this for my three and five yr olds, but recently I've read some posts about it and it really sounds like something they'd enjoy. Gonna get one for them to share

We bought them last year for our nephew and niece. He's 12 and felt a little too old to do it so I had to for him but he really liked it. My niece (9) really liked it. We made it to the last country about 5 minutes before the station closed down!


I think most younger kids would enjoy it. They get to meet someone from another country and if I remember right, they write in their passports in their native writing. Some messages are more personalized than others. But maybe because it was late and they were tired.

It's a great souvenir for $10.

We got ours at the gift shop right at the entrance to World Showcase. That way we didn't have to backtrack.

My 3 children had a great time when we did this 2 years ago.

The passport cost about $10 and includes a EPCOT button and stamps from each country.

Each country in the World Showcase will rubber stamp their page and write something in their own language, usually Hello or some other kind words. The kids (15, 12, and 8) really enjoyed going to each country to have their "passports" stamped. And we were able to enjoy visiting each country.

Our kids loved it! It was a few years ago that we tried as a way to keep them engaged while at Epcot. They still talk about how much fun they had going to each country getting their passport signed and meeting the CMs from other countries. My DD still has her passport & is especially fond of it. We were a little late getting back around to England on the day we purchased them (we had purchased at the gift shop on the far side of Canada). we had doubled back to get Canada but I assured everyone we should just continue on around and pick up England as we left the park via the International Gateway. Well, go figure, we were right at park closing - no way to get there. DD has a mjor leauge meltdown (I think she was 5). It was just not going to do - an unfinished passport was no good. Made a quick stop at BC Guest Services (yes it was when there was a guest services desk). The CM said not to worry, she would take care of it. The next day upon our return from the parks - on the bed signed with a special note was my daughter's passport.

When we were there in early December 2002, they closed at around 9pm.
