Has anyone done this 5 hour tour? It's not something my grandson would enjoy but I am interested. any feedback/info would be appreciated. thanks

My adult daughter and I did it last year. We both thought it was excellent. There is a lot of time in the first countries before World Showcase opens to explore and get some nice photos. Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. You could tell how much she loved Epcot.

Going on September 1. It is hard to slow down enough to really see the detail in the countries so I decided to take the tour. Someone once posted the original landmarks next to the Disney replicas - amazing.

One of my favorite stories about World Showcase has always been how the King of Morocco sent his own personal architect to make sure the pavilion was authentic.

I did this tour right after doing the Future World tour. At the beginning there is a little over lap because Destinations begins where Future World left off. Our guide gave us the history of how Epcot started and the sponsorship of each pavilion. This history of what was initially planned over how the end product ended up is very interesting. They point out a lot of the art work and craftsmanship that is hidden within the pavilion unless you look for it. Most of the tour is "on-stage" but you do go backstage to see the Illumination barges and globe. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I took the tour in March 2018 and loved it! I had been promising myself for a long time that would spend an afternoon taking in the details of World Showcase and I never did. So I booked the tour so I would be "forced" to spend time focusing on details of WS and it was so much better than doing it on my own because with the tour I actually got the stories and explanations on things. I thought I knew a lot of Epcot but I did learn quite a bit too. I also took the tour on my own, my husband went golfing, and I was nervous because I am an introvert (even though I can force myself into an extrovert role) but the tour was absolutely fine. I didn't feel like an odd ball at all, in fact in a week I'm doing the Backstage Magic on my own.

It has been awhile since I have done the Backstage Magic twice. ajrwdwgirl, if you please, report back on your tour as they change with the park changes. The first tour SEP 2012 consisted of MK-utilidors, EP-American Adventure, ST-Tower of Terror, AK-parade floats of Jammin Jungle Parade, Cast Member Services, Creative Shoppes, Costuming, and Greenhouse where you could take photos. Mar 2016 Tour had MK-Utilidors and VIP view of Festival of Fantasy Parade, EP was still American Adventure with less outside backstage and more under ground as they had an animatronic figure available to see up close, ST-Tower of Terror, AK-Pre-Rivers of Light talk with conservationist cast member, Creative Shoppes, Costuming, and Greenhouse with no photos allowed right before Flower and Garden Festival. The Cast Member Services moved over to the Future World Tour.

Did the tour on Tuesday, it was great. Would definitely recommend. It was a small group, only 4 of us.
