We are staying at an Epcot area hotel. On the days when we will spend the morning at DS or AK, I would like to eat lunch in the WS. I figure we can hop the bus to Epcot, walk-thru the counter service of choice, eat and head back to the hotel. No attractions involved. Is this practical or is too much time and effort involved?

Would your opinion change if the walk-thru wasn't for food but say, an adult beverage :)

Thanks for your input :flower3:

Uusally still shorter to head back to BW or BC and enter WS through the IG to have lunch.

Agreed. When we stayed at BWV we would just pop thru the gateway to grab a snack/lunch/beverage and head back out. Totally practical. You will love the location!

just and fyi, there is no bus from AK to Epcot... i believe you may be able to take a (long) boat ride from DHS to Epcot though...

You should take the boat from DHS to the International Gateway. If coming from AK to Epcot, take the bus to the Swan, Beach Club, or Boardwalk then get on the boat to Epcot.

You'll need to finish your adult beverage in the park, they don't let you leave (or enter) with one.

There is a bus from AK to Epcot. But, if you're going to WS, ride the bus to your resort and walk through IG. It is a looonnnnggg walk from EPCOT bus stops to WS. If you're coming from DHS, ride the boat.

There are direct busses from AK to Epcot. Boat ride from DHS to Epcot is 25 minutes or so, can easily be walked in less time.

We usually stay at an Epcot resort, and often hop over to Epcot for lunch. Not too much effort. Part of the fun of staying at an Epcot resort. Although it can result it mandatory nap time after (due to beverages).

From AK, we would usually take bus back to resort first and then walk to Epcot. But sometimes take bus directly. Bus stop is remote at Epcot, but sometimes it is fun just to stroll through.

From DHS, we would walk or boat (if it's super hot out).

Have a great trip.
