i have a 8:15 dinner reservation at Ohana next friday night. I will be at Epcot that day , so my question is how early do I need to leave Epcot to make my reservation.

Thanks

Yeah, I kinda like the idea of giving yourself an hour. Should take less, but best to give yourself some time just to avoid stressing and any unforeseen delays. I assume you will taking the monorail to TTC then walking to Poly.

Ohana dinner runs notoriously behind, so I'd be prepared to not be seated right away.

Grab a Lapu Lapu from Tambu and relax. :-)

Have fun!

I agree - walk from TTC to Poly. It will waste a lot of time trying to walk to the resort monorail, waiting on a resort monorail, and boarding.

I disagree.
Why? Because I just did that very thing 3 weeks ago.
It took 12 minutes of continuous walking (and it was hot.)
We had to sit down in the Poly lobby for awhile, just so as not to be
"too damp" to go to 'Ohana.

I did the walk because there was a line waiting for the Resort Monorail.
Then, I watched as two monorails (about 5 min apart) passed us overhead on our walk to the Great Ceremonial House.
I'm not doing that again.

Fair enough - we stayed at BLT and I felt the opposite. I wish I could have walked back from
TTC to CR. I hated transferring from one line to another. Of course we had major monorail issues last week.

I see the advantage of staying at the GF or Poly - after last time I have no desire to stay at CR or BLT again. Walking to the MK was nice but I really think it needs a boat to MK like the rest of the Lagoon resorts. If you did anything but walk to MK, getting there was long and took good timing. Waiting on the resort monorail some mornings took longer than a bus from AKL.

We were with my parents who didn't always want to walk from BLT to MK every time so we did a lot of full loops around the monorail (which helped me realize how bad the condition of it was actually).

We stayed at the Poly a couple weeks ago and the Yellow Monorail had broken down between TTC and Epcot and after 30 minutes of waiting, Disney ordered up a couple charter buses to start shuttling everyone over to Epcot (driver was clueless on where to drop us off at and keep circling around!!!) What a mess it was and none the less, we missed our AP ressies for Disney on Broadway performance. Monorail was back up and running back to TTC for a trip back from Epcot.
