Hi:
I just booked tickets for Hoop Dee Doo Review on a day we are planning to be in Epcot. I probably should have thought about transport before I bought the tickets, but now I'm concerned. From what I'm reading, the most logical thing would be a monorail ride to Magic Kingdom and then a boat ride to Fort Wilderness? Is that correct? I don't have park hoppers so I'm concerned about that - what are my other options? I feel like taking a bus might take forevvvverrr.....
Thanks for any tips. :)

Epcot to TTC by monorail, monorail to Contemporary, boat to FW and the dock is a very short walk to HDDR:) How are you getting to Epcot - Disney bus from a resort or parking at Epcot , that will determine what you do after your dinner.

You can take the monorail to MK and then the boat to FW. You won't need park hoppers for that since the boat dock is outside of the MK gates. The boat will drop you very close to Pioneer Hall, so it is probably a really good way to travel, although it will take you at least forty minutes to get there using the monorail and boat. The boat will be the nicest way to go since the boat ride is very pleasant. :)

The other way to do it is to take the FW bus from Epcot. You will then have to switch to a second internal bus to get to the area where Hoop Dee Doo is held. That would probably take about forty minutes also.

:)

We are bussing from Art of Animation. Flying down and not renting a car, so driving isn't an option.

Thanks - that sounds a little complicated because of the several steps, but maybe its not so bad. Would giving ourselves an hour for travel to Fort Wilderness seem about right?

I've read they have busses back to the resorts after the show, so I'm figuring we'll do that. I've read that this show is really fun, I'm super excited!:goodvibes

Ahhh, okay. I didn't realize the dock is outside the gates. Thank you!

An hour should give you plenty of time. If you have kids then they would have time to enjoy the playground that is right there by the boat docks.

You could also take the bus from Epcot to Wilderness Lodge, walk through the beautiful lodge lobby out to the boat dock. There you can catch a boat that will take you to Fort Wilderness. That way you can take one bus and one boat, if you really wanted to go that way. :)

But I would take the monorail to MK and then the boat to FW. I hate buses.

I'm thinking we will do as you suggested. Not a huge fan of buses myself!
Thanks for all the help guys!

Be aware, there is no direct monorail to the MK. Walk out the front gates of Epcot and up the ramp to the monorail. It goes to the TTC. I like this monorail ride as it glides along and it is a nice relaxing trip. Once this monorail reaches the TTC, get off, go down the ramp and then walk up the ramp to get on one of the 2 MK monorails, they both go to the MK, one does so directly, the other stops at each monorail resort (if you want to transfer @ Contemp to boat over to FW as suggested by scdac then be sure to be on the resort monorail and get off @ the Contemp.) If you elect to take the boat from the front of the MK, walk down the monorail ramp @ the MK stop and look to your right - you'll see a bunch of docks w/ signs saying where they go, one of the signs will say this boat for Hoop Dee Do (other signs @ other docks will say GF, Poly, etc.) - get on the FW/Hoop Dee Do boat. It's a nice ride across the water to FW.
No need for PH'ers as you won't enter MK to transfer.
It's a fun show.

EPCOT --> monorail to TTC --> direct monorail to MK --> boat to Fort Wilderness. The place where HDDR is shown is maybe 100 feet from the FW dock. I'd budget 60-90 minutes for this trip, including waits.

If you are seeing the last HDDR show, there should be buses outside Settlement Hall that take you to the resorts. They might make multiple stops en route to your resort, but it also means having a less complicated trip back to the resort.

Another option. If you are in WS, you can exit out the International Gateway (by France), walk to Beach Club, and take the bus to Mk. It's maybe a 10 minute walk. When you get to Mk, take the Fw boat.

Wow. There are a lot of different ways to do this. I'm definitely sold on taking the ferry, now I just need to decide whether to go to MK or Contemporary from Epcot, and how to accomplish that....:hyper:

Enjoy the show. We did this 2 weeks ago and really enjoyed it.

If you get behind, you can also take a cab from Epcot (or the Beach Club if you are in the back of Epcot) to the campground and then take the internal bus to the Hall.

This would get you there for sure under an hour.

OP- I'm not sure why you would think a bus would take forever? There are buses from the EPCOT entrance that go to Fort Wilderness. Yes, you would need to transfer to the internal FW bus, but I don't see that taking any more time than monorail x2 and transferring to a boat. :confused3
