Epcot to Disney Springs--how?

I'm an AP who drives over & was going to Epcot this Saturday (March 5th) when they announced there will be passholder magnets at Disney Spring. The VQ for magnets opens at 9am & DS opens at 10am. Originally Epcot opened 10am so I figured I would be near the Epcot parking lot when the VQ for magnets starts at 9am & I could re-route if I had an early time. But now Epcot opens at 8:30am so I will be arriving much earlier.

I haven't been to Disney Springs since pre-Covid. I don't have a clue what the transportation options there are like right now.

Ideally I want to arrive at Epcot before park opening & park my car there( 7:30am). At 9am is the VQ for magnets. How will I get to Disney Springs especially IF I happen to get an early time? You only have a 1 hour window so if it opens at 10am & I get that time I have until 11am to return (granted that's a big IF but I'd like to be prepared).

Are there buses available from Epcot to DS? What time do they start running? I really don't want to keep moving my car parking lot to parking lot & am trying to avoid that. TIA :goodvibes

I think I'd walk to Beach Club or Skyliner to Riviera and catch a bus from one of those to DS.

after park opening, walk out the International Gateway to the Beach Club and get a bus, or call an Uber/Lyft from there.

Just use a quick Uber ! It’s the fastest way. It’s about 30 minutes using the Skyliner.

You could walk over to BC and take a bus to DS. There are no buses that run between the parks and DS.

With having such a short window of opportunity, I would take an Uber.

Why not just walk back to your car at Epcot and then park in one of the garages there and pick up your magnet then drive back to Epcot. Depends on when the DS bus leaves Beach Club, you could be waiting a good 30 minutes for a Springs bus then you have to wait again for a bus back to Epcot resort.

Because that would mean losing a (presumably) good parking spot at Epcot, which means a longer walk at the end of the day.

THIS. I didn't know you had a car. That's a lot of trouble to go to for a better parking space.

Good parking at Epcot is more about being close to the center line than close to the front. That lot is much wider side-to-side than long front-to-back. It's really luck of the draw. You could come back later and end up further back but closer to the tram lane and be better off.

Why I don't want to drive to DS from Epcot? Because after driving 1.5-2+ hours each way that day I really don't want to drive more around Disney property. It's not so much giving up the Epcot parking spot. It's just easier to be carted around sometimes by WDW transport even if it means waiting. Plus I can take a rest & enjoy being in the Disney bubble lol

Thanks everyone for the feedback & info!

Is it easier to get an Uber/Lyft from Epcot or from Beach Club? That may be a good option for getting to DS & then bussing back to BC/Epcot. Granted it will depend what time the VQ is & where I am in Epcot at the time.

I'd still consider Skyliner to Riviera and take the bus. Riviera seems to get a lot more busses than the other resorts for...well, your guess is as good as mine. We noticed that even back in 2020 when bus capacity was severely limited.

I've never had difficulty getting an Uber from Epcot. Usually takes about 10 minutes (assuming during the day away from opening and closing times).

If you're going to get Uber/Lyft you might be better off just getting it from the front of Epcot rather than waiting to walk back to BC. When you are ready to return you can take the bus back to BC.

Thanks all for the game plan! Hopefully I'll be able to report back next week with magnet success ::yes::
