Epcot to DHS to Epcot... after hours?

The date in question is halloween night, which is already sure to be a blast lol

The current plan is to listen to Hanson at the Eat to the Beat concert and at 6pm(ish), book it to the back of World Showcase to grab the boat to DHS there. Go to DHS, watch the star wars fireworks... and come back via the boat to go get our car in the epcot parking lot.

The problem is that the star wars fireworks don't start until 8pm. Epcot closes at 9pm that night. We REALLY don't want to run all the way out to Future World, get the car, get in, drive to DHS, go through the turnstiles, etc because I imagine that'd take far longer than just hitting the boat over to DHS.

Our problem is the return. What do you guys suggest?

I'm aware of the little boats around the lake in world showcase as well, but I don't know if those would reduce a run to future world and if driving over to DHS would be worth it.

Getting back to your car is going to be a problem. You will not be able to walk through Epcot after it's closed. Buses won't run to Epcot after it's closed.

Just park at DHS in the morning and either walk, take the boat, or take the bus to Epcot.

Parking at DHS is a good plan.

But if you were to park at Epcot, you wouldn't want to take the boat back anyway; you'd want to take the bus since it goes to the front of Epcot. The bus runs until everyone has left DHS.

Good idea to think about this beforehand, agreed parking at DHS is a good plan. A couple in our group had trouble this summer when trying to get back to their car at Epcot. When they finally did it was literally the only car as far as they could see in the lot. They were laughing showing us the pics the next day but said it was a bit of a challenge to get back.
